Out of Continues: The Cat (an assassin who can transform from cute little tabby into a vicious anthropomorphic killer) was made with nine lives — by the end of the first book he's been killed eight times, both by the heroes and as punishment for failing his mistress. Weapon of Mass Destruction: Seeing Redd features WILMA (Weapon of Inconceivable Loss and Massive Annihilation). It destroys people's imaginations. An additional special issue (numbered 2.5) was given away at summer conventions in 2006. This special issue contained answers to frequent questions, a preview of 'The Looking Glass Wars,' and other supplementary material. A scanned copy of this issue can be viewed at IGN Comics [2] as a part of a Hatter M-centric story published September 1, 2006. Twice-Told Tale: In-universe, no less. Carrol's story was his spin on the real events Alice told him. She is outraged when she realizes how much he changes around.

Carroll first published Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland in 1865, three years after he had first told the story to the young girl Alice Liddell and her sisters, …show more content…

The Quisling: The Diamond, Spade and Club noble families are eternally ready to swear their loyalty to whoever currently has the greatest power and influence, be it the Heart clan, Queen Redd or or King Arch. The Cat: Redd's assassin, loosely based on the Cheshire Cat from Carroll's original books. He kills Sir Justice Anders and attempts to pursue Alyss and Hatter when they escape from Wonderland. He ordinarily resembles a bipedal feline equipped with melée weapons, but can take the form of a kitten. He possesses nine lives. Over the course of the book, he loses all but one of these, variously to Hatter, Genevieve, Redd, or Dodge. At the last minute, he follows Redd into the Heart Crystal.

Breakout Character: Hatter Madigan not only has a graphic novel spinoff, but a prequel series about him.

Many newspapers have praised Beddor for his imagination and world creation, while other critics claim the book is poorly-written and has one-dimensional characterizations. Template:Citation needed Homburg Molly: She is half civilian and half Milliner. She helps the Alyssians to find the Looking-Glass Maze, and eventually fights along their side in the battle of Mount Isolation. When Alyss is crowned as queen, Molly becomes her bodyguard. Wyatt, Stephen (2011). "Lewis Carroll - Alice Through the Looking Glass". Saturday Drama - BBC Radio 4. United Kingdom: BBC . Retrieved 12 January 2023. Hooper, David; Whyld, Kenneth (1996) [first pub. 1992]. The Oxford Companion to Chess (seconded.). Oxford: Oxford University Press. ISBN 0-19-280049-3. Reverend Charles Lutwidge Dodgson: The mathematics lecturer of Christ Church and author of Alice's Adventures Underground under the penname Lewis Carroll which, in The Looking Glass Wars, he wrote based upon Alyss's recounting of her life in Wonderland. He believes Dodge Anders to be himself in Alyss's 'imaginary land', Dodge's first name based on his last.

A film of the novel was released in 1969, starring Christopher Jones as Leiser, Ralph Richardson as LeClerc ( sic), and Anthony Hopkins as Avery. It was directed by Frank Pierson. [4] Nel Mondo Di Alice ("In the World of Alice") is a 1974 Italian TV series that covers both novels, particularly Through the Looking-Glass in episodes 3 and 4. [30] In development for the third American McGee Alice title, Alice: Asylum, American McGee stated that he liked the idea of the Queen of Hearts and Red Queen having originally been separate characters in Alice's mind (Wonderland) as they were in the book, who eventually merged. The Red Queen was portrayed by Edna May Oliver in the 1933 Paramount film version of Alice in Wonderland.

Chapter Two – The Garden of Live Flowers: Upon leaving the house (where it had been a cold, snowy night), she enters a sunny spring garden where the flowers can speak; they perceive Alice as being a "flower that can move about". Elsewhere in the garden, Alice meets the Red Queen, who is now human-sized, and who impresses Alice with her ability to run at breathtaking speeds. Most of the characters featured in the series are based on the original characters from Lewis Carroll's novels.
