The Fimbles are very appealing to children as they are brightly coloured, speak English clearly (except for Baby Pom), they play games and they sing songs. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The English spoken and sung is very clear, the songs are catchy and the words are repeated enough times for children to grasp but not too many times to drive adults to distraction. Pom does not always get things in the way the older ones do - a subtlety that may not always be obvious to the younger viewer. Suitcase, tambourine, and hoop are on the main menu whereas for some reason wind is listed in the features section.Hoop: Fimbo takes all of his friends on a bus journey around Fimble Valley, using his hoop as a pretend steering wheel.

I myself have developed a great affection for the Fimbles - I like to sing along with the songs, and my little nephew also likes to sing with me. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). This allows for the soothing tones of Roly Mo to relax everyone with a story tailored to the found object. I have a six-month old daughter who loves the Fimbles - whatever she's playing with when they come on is forgotten, and she sits or lies on her playmat and watches, completely spellbound.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I'd certainly recommend this video to anyone with children - it's aimed at 3+, but Emily loves it, and my nephew is only two, so don't let the age recommendation put you off.

Particularly great is the fact that the same songs are sung each episode by the different characters ('When you take a look inside a book' and the 'Let's go and see' song), and I think this gives Emily something to recognise each time. Fimbo finds what looks like a bright pink sparkly hedgehog, but when it turns out to be bright pink sparkly wig he and Rockit decide it would be great fun to play a trick on Florrie and Pom - guess who's coming to tea? Their surroundings are also very colourful but still bare a resemblance to the things that children may see around them. Instead of including the songs from the show such as the Roly Mo song there is an obscure rendition with no connection to the episodes on this DVD and no words to sing along to.
