Because I’d made sure the focal point of this space was the fireplace, I was umming & arring about whether or not to have a TV in this space at all as we’ll eventually have a cinema/snug room & this room is more of a peaceful relaxing adult lounge vibe. Eventually I came to my senses & realised that I’d need somewhere to watch Love Island so went on the hunt to find something to fill the right hand wall whilst also disguising the TV. This also means more space to style all my beautiful bits which are far too pretty to keep in boxes. Joe Dante is a director known for his satirical blend of horror and comedy viewed through the lens of grounded, relatable American life. his career in film began as a movie critic at age 12. A few years later, he conspired with Jon Davison to produce The Movie Orgy, an experimental exploration of ‘50s pop culture that metamorphosed into a hit phenomenon bringing Dante to college campus showings nationwide. It may be a typically British thing to not gloat/brag or ‘show off’, but why is it when times are bad it’s okay to moan & ask for advice. But when times are actually good, we keep it under wraps afraid that we’ll come across as ‘oh look at me’. This leads directly in to your open plan living space inspired by my own home complete with a large kitchen, a lounge area with feature fireplace & a dining area; the perfect entertaining or family space.

We hadn’t repainted this room since we moved in over 6 years ago so it was in desperate need of a refresh…the perfect excuse to give it a bit of a makeover & try out a new look.

It was hosted at the beautiful Neptune showroom in Bournemouth (of which I’m a regular as I’m sure you’ve seen on stories…I could just move in) & the wonderful team there did such a great job in looking after all of my lovely guests. I knew I had SO much to be grateful for & trust me, I did feel so fortunate but something was just wrong. Caravans aren’t exactly the epitome of fashion or interior design, but I love a good challenge & after finding a caravan with the best layout to suit our needs, decided to go for it. I’ve painted the double doors white to freshen them up, but will eventually change those along with the other internal doors throughout the house. You then lead down the hallway to the 3 bedrooms; two doubles (one with ensuite) & a twin bedroom, just perfect for a family.

The main thing has been that I have been completely dedicated for the vast majority of the time. I think & plan ahead to make sure that I don’t slip up. I can count on one hand (pre Bali..) the number of times anything ‘bad’ has past my lips. Some may think it’s extreme but personally, I don’t actually want to eat badly.

Don’t starve yourself – I’m not 100% sure how it makes sense, but the weeks where I am so busy I forget to eat enough or that I’m desperate to reach a number on the scales so restrict myself, I don’t end up losing as much. It’s the weeks when I feel like I’m constantly eating (the right things…) that I get the best results. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any ‘before’ pictures that weren’t me completely butt naked in the mirror…so obviously I can’t share them, so you’ll have to make do with some other horrific ones I’ve found to grasp how far I’ve come. Many years later, he wrote and directed the no-budget horror film, INFESTED, a brutal assault on The Big Chill, with zombies. He went on to write the screenplay for A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE and was nominated for the WGA, BAFTA and Academy Awards for Best Screenplay.
