You Are a Champion by Marcus Rashford review | Evening Standard

You might decide you want to be a champion for something you believe in, and I’d like to show you how to do that.Marcus successfully lobbied the British Government to u-turn policy around the free food voucher program ? The writing is pitched at the perfect level for 9-11 year olds and I read this with my 8 and a half year old Nico who found it easy to follow and has boosted his confidence not only in his reading but also in himself and his own abilities. It interested me because I am a little bit like Marcus himself and knowing that he could do it makes me feel like I can do it.

Whilst he is only 23, he has inspired the world with his work to provide support for those who were already struggling before the global pandemic that is Covid-19. The book is written with the help of journalist Carl Anka and a performance psychologist, Katie Warriner. I highly doubt that you would be one reading this in highschool, when you have a reading average surpassing this by a large margin. I once had a dream like Marcus to be a footballer, but as I got older I discovered I liked writing; eventually I found a way to put my two skills together to become a football journalist.Marcus Rashford deserves 5 stars because not only is he a footballer and activist, but now he's found yet another way to pay it forward by writing a book. Currently a reporter for sports media group The Athletic, covering Manchester United, he is the host of the Talk of the Devils podcast and is scared of talking on the phone.
