It is perfect for a sunny day out, but you can use it when your hair is dry and the result still great, I find it gives you a nice wavy look. I was given the opportunity to test two of its hair care products; shaping dough and gritty styling clay. My other half felt the grainy styling clay was best-suited to sticky up styles whilst the second pot he tested, MooseHead shaping dough was ideal for slicker, smoother looks. Both the styling clay and the shaping dough are true to the saying ‘less is more’, making them fantastic value for money.

Back then it was a ruffled, messy look and I think that’s the kind of style this product would work well with. Happily, there was no evidence of any ‘sediment’ and the added beeswax seemed to ensure the promised matte finish as well as strong hold.We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and to their Elders past and present.

Review: Mooshead hair shaping dough and gritty styling clay

Only you will know if it’ll be the perfect present for an older Dad or Grandad, or a younger hipster riding the vintage bandwagon. Marked a 4 out of 5 in the holding stakes, the red potted shaping dough, like the clay (despite being rated slightly lower) held my man’s style for the duration. Since 2011 I’ve been the main carer for my two daughters and run the household while my wife has worked full-time. With a red lid and a cocoa-butter and chocolate smell, this one works well for a quick styling keeping shape. I’ve heard that such retro fragrances are being made fashionable by those a little younger than me and my other half, in a revival of trends; I guess in the same way that I’ve worn flares despite growing up a decade or so after their first appearance. With a green lid and a citrus smell, this Moosehead wax is the smoothest one of the four which make it perfect for a natural look.

Father’s Day Gifts for Men Who Groom Review

Whilst I had my partner on board for a spot of product testing, I thought I’d get his opinion on a man’s fragrance I’d agreed to review. Gold’ aftershave splash isn’t the kind of product I’d usually go for, for my 40-something other half and perhaps the fact that it was first launched in 1976 when he’d be yet to turn one, speaks volumes in to whom this fragrance might appeal. Both are worked into damp or dry hair by applying just a small amount to the palms and swerve that unfashionably nineties wet-look that hair gel can create. With an orange lid and a coconut smell, this wax is my favorite for the texture and definition that it provides to my hair. Thirdly 'hard wearing fibre' smells like lime and coconut - which I don't even think is in the ingredients but that is what I think I can smell. The company was started about 10 years ago in Melbourne, Australia when they realised that there was no real product aimed/targeted towards the 'urban guy'. When I thought about it, I realised that I had a completely different hair style the last time I used a clay. I hadn’t tested two such similar products at the same time before so was very interested to see how they would compare. Scentre Group operates its Westfield Living Centre portfolio with a responsible business mindset across the four pillars of community, people, environment and economic performance. The gritty styling clay comes in an orange lidded pot with five black dots, indicating maximum hold.
