Their friend, who is supposed to be a multi-millionaire (and lives on a lonely island), set's very cheap arrangements for their arrival. Voor mij persoonlijk vindt ik het een perfect boek, want ik hou van spannende verhalen met zo goed als alleen maar actie. In December 2015, when responding to a fan query on Twitter regarding the plot of the book, Horowitz revealed that the story would be set during the Australian summer, and that it may involve the characters celebrating Christmas in July. Four of Diamonds (2008): Similar to Three of Diamonds, but also includes The Greek Who Stole Christmas.

When the Diamond Brothers receive an invitation to a school reunion on a remote Scottish island, things seem to be looking up. It was a decent book, I haven’t read the others in the series, but it’s perfectly understandable as a standalone. In The Diamond Brothers in… Public Enemy Number Two (1987), Nick Diamond is once again thrust into danger by being framed for a jewel heist he didn't commit, so that he'll be forced to go undercover as a jewel thief to find out the true identity of an unknown master criminal known only as "the Fence". For example, someone got stabbed by an Eiffel Tower model because they won the French prize and someone else got poisoned because they won the prize for Chemistry. Following the main plot events, Nick and Tim finally managed to earn enough money to be able to fly out to Australia to visit at their parents for the first time since they had emigrated there, which was sometime prior to the events of The Falcon's Malteser.

The gang, in the mysterious circumstances, soon find the dead body of the multi-millionaire divided in half. In The Diamond Brothers in… I Know What You Did Last Wednesday (2002), seven friends, along with the Diamond Brothers, are invited to a remote island for a school reunion. Dylan finds himself in prison at the end of I Know What You Did Last Summer after Allinson claimed that he had been the one to attack her. A lot of murdering happens in this book as they go to an island for a old classmates school reunion, after receiving an invitation.

Our resources are crucial for knowledge lovers everywhere—so if you find all these bits and bytes useful, please pitch in.It isn't easy being the younger brother of the world's worst private detective, and Nick Diamond is due a holiday. And if we stayed too close to the house something else might strike me – a falling piano or a model of the Taj Mahal, for example.

However, the injured Allison points the finger of blame at Dylan and sides with Margot, either to protect her identity as Lennon or because she reciprocates Margot’s feelings for her. Discuss what elements are needed for a good story opening, like setting up questions which the audience want to find answers to. In true crime writing style there are plenty of red herrings to keep the reader interested and intrigued and even when you think you have figured out the culprit there are a few last minute surprises. Horowitz claimed he wrote the 1991 television miniseries credited as being based on this novel first, rather than the other way round, which would make this entry the only novelisation of a Diamond Brothers story in the entire series. My adorable middle son, brought this book home from me from his school library - he had read it, and thought I might enjoy it, as he thought it was a similar genre to many of the detective type novels I read!

This book is ideal for key stage two children as the main characters are a contradiction to what one may expect from traditional detectives that solve crimes. I Know What You Did Last Summer has captivated fans in recent weeks as its sprawling mystery has been slowly unfurled as new episodes have arrived. Nick diamond finds a mysterious pattern in the murders though which start to make him think about the murderer's next move. Als ik het boek aan jullie kan omschrijven zou ik zeggen dat het een origineel, stresserend, maar vooral een spannend boek is.

I’ve finished the Diamond Brothers series with this book, yet another Anthony Horowitz series in the bag. Anthony Horowitz: The more adventures Alex Rider had, the more I found myself compelled to take this darker edge", The Guardian, 16 March 2015. Tim Diamond is the worlds worst detective and gets into all sorts off trouble with his little brother Nick (who usually solves all the crimes himself). This prompted fan speculation that the novel's release might be imminent, but when Horowitz was asked in July 2012 on Twitter by a fan when this book might come out, he replied that he had not started on the book yet, and that he probably won't get around to it for "…another 3 years".The Diamond Brothers series stars Tim Diamond, the world’s worst private detective, and his quick-thinking, wisecracking younger brother, Nick. At long last on November 12th, the eighth and final episode of the series released and it’s packed with plenty of twists and turns. The Diamond Brothers is a series of humorous children's detective books by Anthony Horowitz, recounting the adventures of the world's worst private detective, Tim Diamond, and his much more intelligent younger brother, Nick Diamond. The murdered was another person from the school who came second in every prize meaning that he always missed out on coming first and so wanted revenge on all the other ex pupils. It's a dangerous life being the younger brother of the world's worst private detective, but Nick Diamond's survived .
