It’s a song that sees Hughes at his simmering best and whilst the sound may be anachronistic I mean that in the most positive of ways – built in the years when Rock and Roll ruled the world rather than stale or outdated. Several solid if unspectacular albums (including live and covers releases) were fronted by different vocalists and now – with Hughes joining for 2021′s ‘Holy Ground’– the line-up seems more settled (with Brian Tichy back on drums) and the band have been touring in Europe and North America over the summer. On the 17 September 'Saving Grace' was released as a single on digital platforms and the October/November UK dates were announced. Where Holy Ground shone due to an extended process, Radiance limps out the fate and never recovers itself. Regardless of whether we’re underwhelmed or not, we still catch ourselves mouthing the words to Hypnotize Yourself and Shine On. Kiss the Sun’ has a wonderfully deep groove, and it’s rather a departure from what we’ve has so far, well at least initially, before a wonderfully lithe chorus lets that sun in. We had a great time composing and recording the record and I’m very excited for you all to hear what we put together.
