But still, it can sometimes feel impossible to stop focusing on them, especially when nothing seems to be going right in the first place. And Dan, who loses his brother in some crime scheme and has to live in an imperfect family happens to be part of the bullies' conditions--are the problem scenarios introduced in this book.

All The Things That Could Go Wrong | Stewart Foster Author books

Johnny Orlando is launching head first into the next chapter of his career, this time with the announcement of his long-awaited debut album All The Things That Could Go Wrong. All in all, this is a very important novel, but I was a bit old upon first reading it to really appreciate everything All The Things That Could Go Wrong had to offer. I thought that Alex’s OCD was portrayed compassionately, sensitively and without stereotyping and I came away with an increased awareness of some of the possible nuances of living with OCD. I think all the things that could go wrong was a really interesting book, and the thing about it was that it could happen to anyone in real life.

The story telling volleys back and forth between the two, each narrating their interactions from their personal points of view. I try to listen to what he says, but it’s hard not to laugh when the pufferfish make him look like he’s got elephant ears.

I’ve been here so many times with my big brother that it’s like I’ve got a map of the fish tanks in my head. If you’re a worrier, you may find that you’re worried about everything that could go wrong in your day-to-day life. His first children's book, The Bubble Boy, was published in 2016, winning Sainsbury's Children's Book Award in 2016 (Age 9+) and many schools and libraries awards, as well as being nominated for The Carnegie Book Award. I'm not a huge fan of Star Wars, but if you are then, you 're in for a treat, since this book is practical filled with Stars Wars (though not to an extent where it's boring to those who don't like Star Wars. All The Things That Could Go Wrong is an absorbing story about bullying and friendship crafted with the right balance of warmth and tension to engage readers in upper KS2. I was a little worried going into it as I really enjoyed We Used to Be Kings by Stewart Foster, which I believe is an adult book, and was worried that maybe I wouldn't enjoy this one as much. They contrast in their responses but I think this added to the authenticity and highlights the complexities of OCD. This is a darling little story that I knocked out within a day about a complicated friendship between two boys.

all the things that could go wrong (Deluxe)’ is the deluxe version of Johnny Orlando’s fourth studio album ‘all the things that could go wrong’. The brief novel is told through the eyes of son William as he watches—four separate times—his father Edward dying. With chapters alternating between narrators Dan and Alex, we are given an intimate, inside view into the hearts and souls of these two boys. When their moms arrange for Alex and Dan to spend time together over winter break, it seems like a recipe for certain disaster. One thing I really liked about this book was how it portrayed the bullying, and how one can feel like their trapped.

I was lucky because if no one had been on the bus, I’d have ended up at my nan and grandad’s in Worthing. The deluxe features three new tracks, ‘if he wanted to he would’, ‘trust her more’ and ‘hollywood sign’. Other than that, I would recommend this book to everyone because the characters were imperfectly perfect, the story was precious and I absolutely adored it. I guess it's because Alex was funny and nice, but Dan, all of a sudden, started to become nice to Alex one day while working on Shooting Star, and for me that just seems unreal, ESPECIALLY compared to the modern day school system. The last thing he wants (and the last thing Alex wants) is for “that weird kid at school” to come and mess it up for him.As time goes by with the boys working together on the raft, a new empathy begins to develop and their relationship begins to grow, albeit shaped by a mixture of tension, confusion and developing compassion. I won't go into too much depth here, but there were several occasions where Alex could have stepped in to help someone else from the bullying, but because you were inside Alex's head, you really got the sense of how it isn't that easy.
