It’s in the name — Elite Trainer Box. You do get a really nice storage box, somewhat reminiscent of a small shoebox (except much nicer and sturdier, of course), to store your cards and stuff in. It’s the perfect size for around 400 to 500 cards, or perhaps less if you put some accessories in there. You’ll have no trouble putting everything from the Elite Trainer Box in it, plus plenty more as your collection grows. The other popular modern Shiny Charizard cards come from Hidden Fates and Champion's Path. The Shining Fates Charizard is a bit special, however, as it is the only Shiny VMAX Charizard to date. This comes shortly after Champion's Path released the VMAX Rainbow Secret Rare Charizard that was a huge hit. It may have been Rainbow and VMAX, but it wasn't shiny! Something that sets Shining Fates apart from other modern sets is the reintroduction of regular Shiny Holo Pokemon cards. While typically Ultra Rare cards (and better) are the ones that appreciate in value for modern sets, there remains an interest in Holo Rare cards and a lot of people still have a preference for that old-school design. Yesterday was the release date of the newest Pokémon special expansion set, Shining Fates, a set that includes over 100 Shiny Pokémon inside of the special Shiny Vault subset within Shining Fates, which itself contains 73 cards. It's worth noting that Shining Fates has had a large print run so card prices are cheaper than you might expect compared to previous sets. We tend to think that Shining Fates is a great modern set to pursue at the moment while prices are relatively affordable!It’s a cheaper alternative to a Pokemon Booster Box. While on average you do get fewer boosters per dollar spent with the Trainer Box, that’s balanced by the fact that you get a lot of extras. Even the box itself has a nice design, and can be used as a storage for cards. Pokemon Elite Trainer Box Contents Usually, when we talk about the best budget Pokemon Elite Trainer Box, the Pokemon on it is one of the less popular ones, hence the lower price tag. That’s often a Pokemon from one of the newest generations. They can be powerful, but they frequently don’t have a big fan base. That’s certainly not a case this time around!

The one critique I have of this specific Elite Trainer Box is that the sleeves feature a matte finish rather than the standard gloss that we've always seen with ETB sleeves. This is preferred for TCG players, but collectors prefer the gloss due to the way that the matte finish mutes the shine of holo and full art cards.
