There are a mountain of warscrolls here, so this isn’t an exhaustive list of everything in the book and everything that’s changed. Heroes There’s three interesting, if not overwhelmingly strong, options for the Dankhold Troggboss. Firstly, Alpha Trogg provides two extra wounds and the Monster keyword, a small mercy for everyone who thought they should be monsters anyway. Trogg Smash is a once per battle 3” mortal wound bomb that triggers after the Troggboss fights. Most intriguing is Loonskin which lets you take one of the non-arachnacauldron Gitz endless spells for 0 points and lets your general attempt to cast it (but crucially, does not make them a wizard so any of those predatory spells will be wild). Artefacts Now we end the list with the low point of the christmas battleforces. The Stromdrakes and Annihilators are both tempting, but there are much better options in the Stormcast range than the other models on this list. Despite the savings I’d give this one a miss, buy the decent units separately and spend the remaining money on more competitive models.Kragnos gets reprinted here and remains Kragnos. He loves to charge in nice and early with some other big scary melee threats to take advantage of his 3d6” charge aura, and the newly juiced up squigs should suit this purpose nicely if you’re Kragnos-inclined.

During deployment, instead of setting up this unit on the battlefield, you can place it to one side and say that it is set up hidden as a reserve unit. You can set up 1 unit hidden in this manner for each friendly MOONCLAN GROT unit consisting of 5 or more models that is on the battlefield and that does not have the SQUIG or FANATIC keyword. Remember previously, there are generally only four boxes for AoS, so getting seven is really awesome even though it’s still one less than 40k! Christmas is coming. This box uses two of your kits and without the value they provide it becomes more of an average box. This is the third box released just this year with at least a treelord in it and GW shows no signs of stopping. Drycha is out of favor competitively but is a wonderful centerpiece model. Tree-Revenants/Spite-Revenants both have roles in the current book and are nice models, if difficult to put together for first-time hobbyists. Dryads are old kits that make one ask where sculpting ends and moldlines begin. At the start of the second and each subsequent battle round, before the priority roll, the player commanding the Gloomspite Gitz army rolls a dice. If more than 1 player in the battle is commanding a Gloomspite Gitz army, then those players roll off and the winner rolls the dice. On a 1-3, the Bad Moon does not move and instead stays at its current location. On a 4+, it moves to the next location.
