Thanks to the STELLAR.45 driver, The PRO X range are going to sound excellent in the Studio, plugged into an interface or amplifier – but you can also use them on the go if you plug them into a laptop or a smartphone as they are going to turn up very loud. The corresponding models of both product families PRO and Edition are hardly distinguishable in terms of sound, as long as they have the same impedance (e.g. DT 880 Edition / 250 Ohm and DT 880 PRO / 250 Ohm sound the same). In conclusion, I love this headphone for everything. Mixing/mastering [closed design isolates well, won't hear street noises & children playing, I can always focus on my mix/master]; monitoring instruments, sound design, critical listening, watching movies, and playing games. Also great for enjoying ASMR, or voice/video-calls, just make sure you have an good headphone preamp to drive the 250ohm to get enough gain/volume. Realizing that the cinema presented a new opportunity in communication media, Beyer decided to produce loudspeakers for film palaces in 1924. By the end of the 1930s, Beyer was able to develop the first pair of dynamic headphones. The DT 770 pro 80-ohm version is pretty similar to the 250ohm version, but it’s more suitable for casual listening and somewhat less intended for critical listening. The bulk of the features remain the same, and it’s generally equally valuable for the cash. DT 770 250-Ohm

Beyerdynamic DT 770 250 Ohm Studio Headphone Review

I researched the product a lot to make the right decision and decided to buy it. I'm extremely happy now. The Beyerdynamic Pro 250 ohm has an impressive 5Hz-35kHz frequency response with 250-ohm impedance. This allows you to hear more clearly to perform your best during your listening session. For closure, I run these headphones through Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 3rd Gen audio interface and you achieve the "medium-to-high" volume at 60% of the knob-turn. At 100%, you can listen to it, but that's just blazing and a bit too loud. I haven't tried the 250 Ohm model, I don't know but I tried it on the 80 ohm model and I realized that I don't need an amplifier. A mediocre laptop did its job well and fed my ears enough when the necessary equalizer settings were made.

Should you buy the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO (80Ω)?

Regardless, I went with 80 ohm ones and these headphones are kind of a benchmark for every day use headphones for me. Now, I am no audiophile, but I can tell a good pair of cans from bad ones - and these ones do justice on all fronts. Beyerdynamic is a German own company that produces headphones, microphones, wireless audio, and other audio systems.

beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO, 250 ohms: Closed studio headphones beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO, 250 ohms: Closed studio headphones

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 are closed studio headphones like their cousin the DT 770 Pro 250. With an impedance of 80 ohms, the DT 770 80 provides similar professional-quality sound for critical listening applications. I've been looking for a set of studio cans for a while, and have always heard amazing things about the 770s, 880s, and 990s. Initially I was having a hard time figuring out which one of those would be best for me. I wanted a pair of headphones that I could simultaneously record with (meaning, with minimal spill), and that I could mix and master with.

So yeah the Pro's: Mix/master translates well, great subwoofer clarity to make confident mix/master decisions on for the low end. Music mixed on these translates well to other systems. Also great for critical listening, referencing music & sound design. Accuracy & translation is great on these, but note the stereowidth, bit narrow sound width due to the closed design.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 250 Ohm Studio Headphone Review Beyerdynamic DT 770 250 Ohm Studio Headphone Review

The comfort deserves more than 5 stars - those bunny rabbits on your ears are just amazing. Just as a testament to how amazed and awesome these headphones are, I have received my brand new guitar in the same shipment as these headphones. After putting on these headphones I simply sat there and listened to music, that is how amazing they are. The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 might have a bit of a harsh sound in the top end, but it’s an issue that can be adjusted. Unlike some of its competitors in this price range, the cables aren’t replaceable. COMFORT: 10/10. The ear-pads are magic in my opinion. I can easily wear the headphones for hours without noticing them. This is the most critically acclaimed model in the M-Series line. Top audio engineers, DJs and pro audio reviewers rate this product year after year. Typical for a dynamic headphone from the nineties, the driver will distort once it goes into high excursion due to low frequency content or high SPL. This distortion dips below 1% only at around 105 Hz (when measured at high output levels), and throughout all of this, a nasty 3rd harmonic is very present from 60 Hz to 100 Hz so, when doing anything low-end critical, be careful as this is also present without calibration applied! How accurate and consistent is the correction effect among different listeners?

How does the Beyerdynamic DT 700 PRO X compare to the DT 770 PRO?

After a bit of EQ I got them to sound more natural and a bit more neutral. The 770s have a bit of a fame for strident highs. While I don't exactly agree that it is overbearing, the higher frequencies did indeed carry an extra power, which is something I don't have a particular taste for. After running some tests, I EQed them to taste by raising the lower frequencies by just a bit, as well as lowering the higher frequencies. Just a touch of gain adding and reduction here and there, and after that, they were good to go for me. The foam pads/cushions are still good, good isolation even after all this time. Isolation for vocal booth/livestreaming/podcast is also great on these. I think about 80% of youtube/twitch streamers use the DT-770. It's very popular. The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user On top of that the comfort and the overall mechanical design was increased and a removable XLR cable was added that can be swapped out depending on what you’re doing. +Which ist the best headphone for mixing and mastering? It’s best to connect the DT 770 Pro 250 to an amp or audio interface for optimum music recording experience. Pros Of The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250
