Description

If you require a brace for functional recovery of an existing sprain, the Aircast Air-Stirrup Universe Ankle Brace will help to reduce swelling and pain. If you’re almost ready to begin physical activity again before a full recovery, we recommend the semi-rigid cushioning support of the Aircast Airsport Ankle Brace. Can I Wear the Aircast A60 On Either Foot? For me, the Airsport is a better brace than the A60. The Airsport is bulkier than the A60 but still fits fine in running / squash shoes and probably would be okay in football boots laced lightly. After 1-2 minutes of running around with the Airsport on, you forget it's there. The Airsport is also cushioned and more comfortable than the A60 which has a lot more edges which I found rubbed.

Combining a contoured cuff for targeted cold therapy of the ankle with a continuously-fed cooler powered by a motor for ideal circulation, these two items can provide cold therapy to the ankle for up to eight hours. When the unit is connected to the power supply, the pneumatic pump in the lid will continuously cycle cold water through the cuff at an even and steady pace. The unit can be used without power as well, as the cooler can be placed above the cuff while in use for a gravity-fed system. How Does the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace Prevent Sprains and Rollovers? Before using the device, please read the following instructions completely and carefully. Correct application is vital to the proper functioning of the device. Intended Use/Indications The Aircast A60 fits well with all types of shoes, but it may depend on the snugness of the shoe. It’s very easy to put on and take off and once you’re wearing it, you barely notice it’s on.

Not Enough Compression?

If you find your Aircast A60 Brace fits too tightly, we recommend you try adjusting your brace by moving the fabric further up the foot until it looks in line with the fit pictured in the image below: If you’ve ever worn an ankle brace that has turned out to be anything other than supportive, you’ll know that it’s incredibly annoying and uncomfortable if it shifts around while you’re working out. This movement, or migration, is prevented by the anti-migration design of the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace. Aside from its high-grade material, this product also sports a lightweight design, which makes it possible for it to be used during your extensive physical performances, without actually getting in your way. And even though it has gotten rid of most of its bulk, optimal support still remains, which is ideal for those undergoing physical therapy. This brace is made from special Breathe-O-Prene fabric, while the stabiliser inside the ankle brace is made from a moulded plastic to provide reliable support at a 60° angle. Although rigid enough to provide effective stability, the stabiliser is not uncomfortable, providing reliable and lightweight ankle support. A full list of actual materials include:

For those who are big into various racquet sports, nothing can be more debilitating than tennis elbow. Aircast armbands are designed to help you manage the pain that is caused by this type of injury. If you are unfamiliar with tennis elbow, it occurs when there is a partial tear of tendons located on the outside part of the arm near where the elbow is located. These Aircast armbands will provide stability for your inflamed elbow, but will also provide you with extra comfort due to the materials these products are made from. Forefoot and Shin Wraps:The integral forefoot and shin wraps provide additional compression and stabilisation for pain relief and support Unfasten the straps and open the brace, placing your foot inside whilst adjusting each side against your ankle

Can I Wear the Aircast AirSport Brace On Either Foot?

The Aircast A60 Brace is designed to provide prophylactic protection and support, preventing injured ankles before they occur. This preventative ankle brace is therefore not suitable for wearing while you are suffering from an existing ankle sprain. I tore my ATFL in 2011 and have subsequently sprained my ankle (at least the ligaments that are still intact) twice more, though not as severely. I saw a specialist who advised considering surgery for an ATFL repair but I wasn't keen on this as no guarantees it will help and has a considerable recovery time. I also saw Andy Murray wearing the Aircast A60 for a few years and thought maybe I should give it a go. This is especially true when you’re running while wearing the brace. After an hour the brace can start to slip, which can be painful. It also makes it difficult to find a comfortable position after it slips. One of the best selling point of the A60 ankle support brace by Aircast is its lightweight and unobtrusive build. It managed to get rid of the usual bulkiness that comes with most common braces for ankles, while also not compromising the support and comfortable fit that such product should possess.

When it comes to its general composition, this specific item is mostly made with the Breath-O-Prene® material. It is a material that promotes breathability, which is important in the prevention of perspiration build up. Plus, the product is also latex-free. You can wear the Aircast A60 Brace whenever you feel the need to protect your ankle during physical activities. The mesh fabric construction surrounding the plastic stabilisers stands up to vigorous use whether outdoors on the pitch or inside the sports hall, ensuring it can provide you with vital support time and time again. What’s the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace Made Of? Why not time yourself? See how long it takes you to read the above paragraph out loud, and then see if you can put on the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace in less time! Make sure you let us know how you did! The A60, as its name implies is fixed at a 60 degree angle on either side to protect the ligaments from over extension during use and features breath-o-prene fabric which ensures that the wearer stays cool and dry. The A60 is ideal for sports such as grass court tennis where ankle rolling is common. Anti-rolling lateral movement support prevents the player from rolling over the ankle which can cause ligament sprains or tears such as those that have hampered Murray throughout his early career. The Aircast Cold Therapy Cooler Unit is suitable for a number of indications and can be used with a range of cuffs for different parts of the body. Indications include the following:

Not Enough Stability?

The ASO brace is very comfortable and less rigid than a lot of other braces on the market. This is because it features a lace-up design that’s easily adjustable.

How Long Have Aircast Been Creating Quality Sports Supports? Yes! The Aircast A60 Ankle Brace is free from latex, making it a suitable option for you if you’re worried about latex allergies or often find latex-based products to be uncomfortable or irritating. Where Can I Learn More about the Aircast A60? The Aircast A60 Ankle Brace as worn by Andy Murray, was designed with an athlete in mind. The Aircast A60 is the perfect ankle support to protect against ankle sprains caused by the side-to-side changes in direction more common in sport. The combination of effective support and protection, comfort and simplified application makes the A60 ankle support ideal for help in treatment and rehabilitation of ankle injuries such as, sprained ankle, Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome, swollen ankle and recovering from a broken or fractured ankle.

Does the Ankle AirSport Brace Help With Ankle Rolling?

If you are unsure about whether or not the AirSport Ankle Brace is suitable for your condition, we would advise that you speak to your doctor or another medical professional.
