It’s not often that a washing line has the potential to improve the curb appeal of a home, but somehow Brabantia have managed to do it! I’m new to the world of wall-mounted washing lines, and this WallFix line has opened my eyes to a stylish new type of streamlined way to dry my clothes outside.

The next valuable quality has to be the overall available capacity of your washing. You will need plenty of lines, especially if you have a larger family. However, there is an apparent trade-off between storage capacity and convenience with some retractable washing lines as they are often made for use in smaller spaces inside the home. Don’t expect a retractable to compete with a rotary washing line. However, the capabilities of some models will surprise you. Brabantia here as well. However, this may be enough depending on your needs and family size; for example, it is great for couples with a new baby! It does claim to hold one load of washing or possibly two if the loads are small. Our only recommendation is that you don't try to use it outside on a windy day, as the Minky only comes with a few ground pegs, which won't survive in a strong wind. There’s one feature of a traditional rotary washing line that this one doesn’t have though. It’s the rotary part! Due to the compact construction, you can’t spin this washing line around, meaning you need access to all of it to hang your washing up. One of the benefits of the spinning washing line is being able to stand in one spot and hang everything in front of you. Lastly, the UV stable, adjustable housing unit can move freely from side to side affording better flexibility and can be pushed against the wall out of the way when not in use. So, is this wall mounted washing line more practical than a standard washing line or rotary line? I suppose some of it depends on how much space you’ve got at home. I like this design because it folds away once you’re done with drying your clothes. You could have a tiny courtyard garden and still get the benefits of drying your clothes outdoors. Nevertheless, this washing line can still be a useful addition to small gardens, and is a neat laundry solution for balconies and flats as well.
