Two rival journalists during a war of the gods? I was instantly captivated by this story, and it was genuinely hard to put down once I began. It's compelling and magical -- and the romance! SWOON. It's well-written and unique, and weaves such an enthralling tale of magic with a story of war. It's unlike anything I've ever read and I can't wait to have a physical copy for my shelf! Well done, Rebecca Ross!

Divine Rivals: The stunning YA romance fantasy Sunday Times

By the time Iris was almost done for the day, she felt heavy from the obituaries. She always wondered what had caused the deaths, and although that information was never included, she imagined people would be more inclined to read the eulogies if it was. Hart is in a very strained relationship with Mercy. They can’t stand each other, and Mercy often makes awful remarks about his job. This trilogy is excellent. It not only features an incredible slow-burn forbidden romance but also blends political intrigues, the chaos of wartime and high-stakes.She hadn’t expected to ever be friends with him. How could she, when they were both competing for the same columnist position? But his pompous demeanor had only sharpened her desire to defeat him. And it had also been alarming that Roman Kitt knew more about her than she knew of him. Divine Rivals is the latest TikTok sensation. together with Fourth Wing, they have taken the book community by storm, and readers all over the world are eager to read similar books.

DIVINE RIVALS | Rebecca Ross

I’d like to try this book and see if I like it as much as it seems *everyone* else does. I’ve read 3 books (2 from one series and 1 from another) by this author now and have yet to be like completely obsessed. But I really want to love her work. I have nothing I necessarily *dislike* about it, I just haven’t been like “omg new favorite!” Haha! I hope this is the one to do that for me! Mercy never has a moment to herself. She’s been single-handedly keeping Birdsall & Son Undertakers afloat in defiance of sullen jerks like Hart, who seems to have a gift for showing up right when her patience is thinnest. The tension is just top-notch, and you can feel that this is going to be the slowest of slow burns… with a perfect ending that involves one of my favorite tropes. It hints at what’s coming in the second book without being a super heavy cliffhanger. Enva, a Skyward goddess and Dacre’s sworn enemy. Enva, who had also been defeated two centuries ago, when the five remaining gods fell captive beneath mortal power. As Advance Reader Copies of A River Enchanted are beginning to make their way into the world, I thought I should drop a note here about why this novel is adult, and where you can find the content warnings. Some of you might know me from m Hi friends! I am so blown away by Rebecca Ross' storytelling that anything she writes just leaves me speechless and Divine Rivals is no different. Although i do think this book is my favorite by far. Reading about Iris and Roman left me speechless and i kept wanting to shake each of them as they spoke to each other and i found myself wishing i had a physical arc of this so i can annotate it properly. When two young rival journalists find love through a magical connection, their fate depends on their facing the depths of hell … together.
