R&D Logos (SD, Disc 5, 3 minutes) – A collection of all of the weird Ronald vs. David death scenes that appear after each episode. Firstly I was amazed with the amount of money I saved on this Blu-ray box set of one of my all time favourite series. The extras included all the non aired extended versions of several of the episodes which was a delightful surprise. Inside 'Battlestar Galactica': Working with the Daggit (SD, 5 min.) – Members of the cast and crew talk about the robot dog Muffit, who was actually performed by a three-year old chimpanzee named Evie. (Ported over from the 2003 DVD release.)

Text based The Oracle plus an additional Battlestar Blips, which is again text based trivia information and facts. I wish I could quote a source, but I read years ago that a plan for a continuation of the original format in a second year was in place. The Cylons were to be left behind as the fleet moved further away from their home system. Colonel Tigh and Athena were going to leave the series somehow. I do have an excerpt of an interview from Story Editor Terrence McDonnell where he says that the Pegasus would appear in the season opener, and that Glen Larson wanted to kill off Sheba. Battlestar Galactica': Remastered (HD, 6 min.) – Sadly, this is the only brand-new bonus feature on this entire release. However, it does give a nice behind-the-scenes look at how the series was updated to widescreen for the 'next generation' of viewers. (Note: This bonus feature only appears on Disc 6 of the widescreen original series set – it does not appear on Disc 6 of the full frame version.) Deleted Scenes (SD, Disc 1, 42 minutes) – Deleted scenes from episodes 'Scattered,' 'Valley of Darkness,' 'Fragged,' 'Resistance,' and 'The Farm.' Once again I've put these two together. As before Moore is on hand to provide insight and thought on his precious show, very easy to listen to as he piles on the information both negative and positive. The second disc of the season he is joined by a number of other participants that, again, make for informative and enjoyable listens, the list is: Faith - Moore, producers Bradley Thompson and David Weddle; Guess What's Coming to Dinner - Moore and writer Michael Angeli; Sine Qua Non - Moore and writer Michael Taylor; The Hub - Moore, co-executive producer Jane Espenson, editor Michael O'Halloran and supervising editor Andrew Seklir; Revelations - Moore, Weddle, Thompson and editor Julius Ramsay.More questions with the added bonus that the reward is Blu-ray exclusive deleted scenes; there are seven in total.

If you aren't already sitting down as you're reading this review, now would be a good time to pull up a chair. Universal has included supplements on each of the twenty discs in this collection, so needless to say -- we're going to be here for awhile. Just for the sake of organization, I'm giving the miniseries its own little section here. However, all of this content is technically part of Season 1 on the first disc. As the title suggest, actually all three parts plus an additional thirty minutes of footage to really flesh out the finale - trust me you haven't seen the finale until you've seen this.Deleted Scenes (SD, Disc 1, 12 minutes) – Deleted scenes from episodes 'He That Believeth in Me,' 'Six of One,' 'That Ties That Bind,' 'Escape Velocity,' 'The Road Less Traveled.'
