Description

Record plays well after ultrasonic cleaning, despite a few faint marks here and there. Sleeve has had a hard life with various dog ears and wrinkles, some ring and rubbing wear. Complete with insert. Maxicut 1st pressing. The original release is the only one to have. I am not familiar with a remastering that comes close to the Ludwig 1980 version. Anyone telling you different has not heard the original.

Aussie presses are very very good, and they generally did not stretch the life of the stampers to far, because the population base was so small, they were not compelled to.I bought this when it was originally released. The album has a "Stereo One" label on both sides. The sleeve has quite a few age related wear marks. Vinyl has a few light marks, cover has light shelf wear, a few small crease marks and corner wear. Has insert.

The 2009 Vinyl reissue (Barcode: 5099751076513) is digitally remastered and over compressed. It seems the Vinyl has the same digitally master source like the 44/16 CD. Very poor in details. The cymbals sound unnatural and clogged. Aussie issues on many many records are good to get for that very reason... you know that the overall quality of the issue is higher. Includes insert. Media has scuff marks and has a bump on Side 2, song 1 and there is a little surface noise but generally plays fine. Sleeve has a tear on edge and spine wear. The bottom edge is 75% worn. No ring wear. Comes in new plastic inner and outer sleeves. Graded conservatively

What Is The Best Version Of AC/DCs Back In Black Vinyl? What Is The Best Version Of AC/DCs Back In Black Vinyl?

Cover sleeve shows ringwear and shelf-wear (creasing around opening and paper rubbing on spine and edges.). Insert with band pix and liner notes very good. Some scuffing on media otherwise plays good with low surface noise. Private collection. SP" found at the end of the etched matrix number in the runout and the label matrix &"E A S T" embossed around the center hole denote a Specialty Records Corporation pressing. Will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.Thanks to Keith Evans and Plug Usher for their help in the studio and to the rest of the AC/DC road crew: Ian, Jake, Mike and Terry. Thanks also to Benji. well, it seems it's not a bad pressing in general but there are some copys that do have flaws. My LP sounds not totally bad but a bit lifeless and muffled sometimes and on "Given The Dog A Bone" it seems there's a Gremlin sitting in my Amp and messing with my Midrange. I have some sort of wave throughout the song. up, down, up, down, etc. Great copy! No real defects, just light scuffs on the vinyl and a few creases on the cover. Includes original insert Its sort of an unwritten ideal to not stamp past 300 presses with a stamper, so if they stretch to 500 ..and beyond, then the quality will deplete....and the further you go, the faster it depletes.
