He wasn't quite finished with the Stranger Things gang and though we wouldn’t dream of rooting for the bad guy, we can't wait to see how his dark and twisted plan will play out. Maybe I'd be, like, a figment of [Dustin's] imagination or something. Like, if there could be some kind of room for something like that, something a bit supernatural."

Alongside the announcement of The Duffer Brothers re-upping their Netflix deal, we also got word they’re working on multiple spin-offs – some of which we’ve got more information on. Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler: Mike is the leader of the young group and Eleven's love interest. Wolfhard was previously seen in 2017's IT and Netflix's Carmen Sandiego. Andrey Ivchenko as Grigori: Grigori is a Russian hitman and liaison between the Russian army and Mayor Kline. Ivchenko's previous credits include Jane the Virginand xXx: Return of Xander Cage. With El unable to use her powers to defend herself or her friends against the Mind Flayer, Griswold Family was in a tight spot — especially after El, Mike and Max were separated from the rest of the group. This emotional arc for him is what we feel is going to hopefully tie the whole series together. Will is used to being the young one, the introverted one, the one that’s being protected. So part of his journey, it’s not just sexuality — it’s Will coming into his own as a young man.” What will happen to the gates?Newcomers will also be joining the Hawkins madness — starting with '80s icon Linda Hamilton. News that The Terminator star is set to join the cast dropped during Netflix's 2023 global TUDUM fan event. Given the danger that the gates pose to Hawkins and the rest of the world, the military may declare martial law and potentially quarantine Hawkins. We can expect a robust military presence, especially if Demogorgons and other monstrosities begin to surf from the gates. As you may know, however, the series has been severely impacted by the ongoing writers’ strike from May 2023 onwards and the SAG-AFTRA strike beginning in July 2023. Until recently it was thought that fans would have had to wait until 2025 to feast on the Hawkins conclusion.

Stranger Things season five is on its way and the creative team behind the mystery teen-horror have already got fans hooked with early teases of what the final season has in store. Perhaps Max's near death end in season four could pave the way for an even more upsetting story arc for the character going forward? David Harbour as Jim Hopper: Habour plays Hawkins' sheriff, Jim Hopper. He was last seen in the Hellboy reboot.

It's interesting, whenever she sort of blatantly throws herself into danger, I think, because there [was] something about her initially, at least, that felt maybe a little more timid, and a little more played by the rules. I think things like Season One, even going into the tree, the first time she got a gun, and a lot of times in this season, where every time she's just kind of like, "I don't care about necessarily me, or, the fact that I'm not thinking about it as much as I'm trying to figure this out, or get to the bottom of it or stop something". It says a lot that she's just very kind of focused. She's not perfect, and I think she makes a lot of mistakes. Whether or not they'd been referring to the animation is unclear but we know that at least one cast member would be keen to be a part of a separate spin-off franchise. There isn't a total count of episodes yet, but while appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Matt Duffer revealed that season 5 will be regular-sized, not super-sized like season 4 (which had a total runtime of nearly 13 hours). “The only reason we don’t expect [it] to be as long is, this season, if you look at it, it’s almost a two-hour ramp up before our kids really get drawn into a supernatural mystery," Matt said. "You get to know them, you get to see them in their lives, they’re struggling with adapting to high school and so forth, Steve’s trying to find a date, all of that. None of that is obviously going to be occurring [in Season 5]." Randy Havens as Mr. Clarke: Mr. Clarke is a teacher at Hawkins Middle School and he runs the AV Club.
