This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is between the individual consumer or business entity that will use the Software (“You”) and Roland Corporation (“Roland”). Overall, this feature works really well. It’s a lot of fun and pretty entertaining whatever level you play at, and the patterns have been programmed to a standard that just about elevates them above the cheese level that’s often associated with this kind of thing. If you’re a beginner pianist, you should know that practice is essential to improving. Drilling in the basics and fundamentals isn’t possible without a good practice tool. The key count is the only difference between the keys of both GO Piano variants. In comparison, the GO-61P features 61 keys, and the GO-88P consists of 81. However, their keybed is similar. Their keys are fully sized, meaning they match the size of real piano keys. This phenomenon makes the piano a perfect practice tool because it seamlessly lets beginners transition to actual pianos. It has Bluetooth MIDI and Audio connectivity, allowing you to play along to your favourite songs directly from your Smart Device. You can use the Piano Partner 2 app to play along to accompaniments, play games, read the score of the built-in songs in real-time and keep a diary of your practice. PP2 also opens the door to third-party apps, such as Piano Dustbuster 2, PiaScore, Sheet Music Direct, Skoove and Animoog.

While it won’t compare to good headphones or amplifiers, it is serviceable, and can even get you through some smaller gigs. The Roland GO:Piano 61 further enhances the realism of the internal sounds with the capability to choose between 10 levels of Ambience. This allows you to control the amount of Reverberation you hear as if you were in a large theatre. You get some chord-focused sounds like strings, basses and synthesizers, but you can’t make full use of them. There is no split mode, which means no walking bass/electric piano exercises.Additionally, the 61-key version features the popular Chorus effect, which is disappointingly missing from the 88-key variant. This effect helps to enrich a sound Casio CDP S-100 : For those looking for weighted keys, the CDP S-100 might just be one of the most affordable on the market. This is designed for teaching, allowing the teacher to sit beside their students for easier demonstrations. While I personally have no use for it, it’s nice to see Roland adding in features, as opposed to removing them. Evaluation Software. This EULA does not license use of Software for evaluation purposes (“Evaluation Software”) except to the extent these terms may be invoked by the separate license terms and conditions accompanying that Evaluation Software.

I wished this was included on the 61-key version, but in terms of feature crossover, a Piano+Strings combination preset is included on the 61-key GO:PIANO, so you’re not really missing out. Now don’t get me wrong, I love arranger keyboards and their extra features, and they’re essential if you’re taking band-focused lessons, like Trinity Guildhall’s Keyboard course. The Roland GO Piano might sport the looks of an actual acoustic piano, but their unweighted keys won’t fool an experienced pianist into thinking they’re playing a concert grand. More specifically, this piano’s keys are too light for advanced players, but they are just fine for beginners.

There are significant differences between the 61-key and 88-key versions of the Roland GO Piano regarding presets. The 61-key variant boasts over 500 preset sounds, including Acoustic Pianos, Electric Pianos, Organs, and others. You can navigate the sounds using the category ‘buttons.’ You’ll also get access to the ‘ Remote Controller‘ feature, which allows you to control the GO:PIANO directly from the device. For example, to select sounds or access the internal songs. Carbon-zinc batteries cannot be used. Current Draw 1,000 mA Battery Life for Continuous Use Ni-MH batteries (AA, HR6): Approximately 5 hours (When using batteries having a capacity of 1,900 mAh.) You can choose from a variety of 22 genres via the front panel +/- buttons, with a different set of loops available for each genre, which go from Trance to J-Pop via Hip-hop and Reggaeton to name just a few. Once you have a groove going, you can either jam over the top with the selected sound across the entire keyboard, or enter Chord mode, in which the lower octave lets you dictate which chord the virtual band is playing while you use the upper part of the keyboard to solo and play melodies over the top.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction. If You obtained the Software directly from Roland, then the governing law and jurisdiction of the state of California apply without regard to its conflicts of law provisions. This Section 11.4 does not deprive You of the protection afforded to You by the provisions of mandatory consumer protections laws that are applicable to You, nor does it prevent you from seeking remedies or enforcing your rights as a consumer under such laws. Most keyboards cover up their hollow interiors, but the GO:PIANO has a bottom that shows you how little plastic is actually used.

Except as otherwise permitted by this EULA or by mandatory law (meaning a law that the parties cannot change by contract), You must not, and must not allow Your Permitted Third Parties, to do the following: D. Install Updates on Enterprise Products (e.g., server, networking, storage, integrated solutions, and data protection appliances) that have gone end of service life unless Roland otherwise agrees in writing; First of all, many of today’s digital pianos use stereo samples, which sometimes require two or even more notes for each key played. Many of us learned piano when younger and quit. Ensure returning to the piano as an adult is more enjoyable and rewarding. At first glance, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the GO:PIANO uses dreaded button-key combinations which mandates having the manual by your side.

The default Rhodes sound on the GO:PIANO88 is the same as EP preset 01 on the 61-key, and it sounds fine. The GO:Piano 61 has semi-weighted ivory feel keys, inbuilt speakers and is able to be powered by batteries (comes with power supply). You may wonder how it is possible to have 32, 64, or even 128 notes playing simultaneously, if there are only 88 keys and we never play them all at once. As we’ve mentioned, the Roland GO Piano has two versions—GO:PIANO Digital Piano (GO-61P) and GO:PIANO Digital Piano (GO-88P). Roland released the 61-key version in January 2017, while it released the 88-key variant two years later in January 2019.

On the original GO:PIANO, being able to see what each sound is named helps a lot. However, since there are only 4 sounds on the 88-key version, each sound can get its individual button. If you’ve used PDAs around the early 2000s, you’ll know how these buttons feel like. If you’ve never heard of PDAs, well, let’s just say that they have a reputation of being unresponsive.
