Measure the overhang of your mantel, and look for crown moulding or trim with a projection that's smaller than the overhang. Crown moulding is installed at an angle against the inside corner, so it needs to fit properly! To ensure your trim fits into the wall opening we have to make allowances. Internal trim measurements (measured from the front of the trim) would be calculated by using the following formulas. Our Classic and Modern fire surrounds use only hardwood veneers allowing the uniqueness of real wood to shine through. Our solid Oak fire surrounds are built using kiln dried natural European Oak. Each fireplace surround has depth and quality that only can be found on crafted furniture and will last for many years. All our painted surrounds go through a four-stage painting process giving them a smooth blemish-free finish. Replacing a complete fireplace can be expensive, but by keeping your existing fireplace insert and changing just the surround you can significantly change the look of your room.When we refer to INTERNAL TRIM WIDTH and INTERNAL TRIM HEIGHT measurements - We are always referring to the internal measurements of the trim (measured from the front) Delivery times are quoted in business days meaning weekends and local holidays including bank holidays, Christmas etc do not count as business days. DELIVERY TIMES - Custom Made Products Our maximum sizes for a bespoke surround are a width of 60' (1524mm) and a height of 48' (1219mm). Add depth to the existing mantel When we refer to WALL OPENING WIDTH and WALL OPENING HEIGHT measurements- We are always referring to the size of the hole in your wall. When you provide us this measurement we will make the trim very slightly smaller (but a snug fit).
