Description

The Ditto X2 comes with the same 24-bit signal processing as TC Electronics' other Loop Stations. Thanks to true bypass functionality it loops the signals without changing them to the output when you are not using the looper. The X2 supports a maximum loop length of five minutes and unlimited overdubs. I am in desperate need of a new looper and have been pretty set on the Ditto X2. My question is about quantization/ syncing. I want to make sure my loops sync up with samples I am playing with a sp404, I have tried the 2880 midi sync and it just doesn’t cut it. My plan has been to find a unit in which I could store empty loops of the same length as my samples (or just same bpm) and simply start the sample then start the loop and they should theoretically sync up. Is this possible with the Ditto X2? Is there any latency that might cause the loop (from x2) and the sample (from sampler) to become out of sync? Use the Ditto X2 Looper to get a looped phrase going. Now use a wah or envelope filter pedal after the Ditto X2 Looper to introduce sweeping filter effects to the initial looped phrase. Guitar effects can foster serious divisions among players. Every new development in stompboxes—from fuzz to flange—has spawned love from the adventurous and ire from purists. in-built drum grooves are the icing on the looper pedal cake here – allowing you home players to jam along until the cows come home. There are two variations for each groove, as well as customized patterns and seven kit types to choose from, making the RC-5 significantly more convenient (and significantly less annoying) than an actual human drummer. We jest, but at least the RC-5 won’t spend all its money on beer.

That is unless you remembered to double-stomp-n-hold at the end of the song (which looks a lot like dancing around the pedal). Most of the time, my loop has been stopped for quite a while before I end the song.

Simple, stage-ready looping. Less is more, right?

However, since the signals are sent in stereo to both amps at the same time, there’s no way of using these two amps alternatively or individually. That’s the problem that the next setup helps solve. A) Use Two Amps in Stereo With An A/B/Y Pedal Connected

Loop your guitar with the Ditto X2 Looper, then send the looped sound to both amps with the A/B/Y pedal. This setup lets you experiment with immersive, spatial effects that move and swirl between the two amps.
