Also, explore L'Oréal Paris' ultimate makeup hub to find the latest beauty trends and step-by-step makeup tips and guides for the eyes, face, and lips! True Match Super-Blendable Foundation is also categorized into five depth categories: deep, medium deep, medium, light medium and light. Look for the shade that matches the depth of your skin with the corresponding undertone. For example, if you have medium deep skin with warm undertones, look at the warm shades in the medium deep category — W9, W8 and W7 — for the shade that best matches your skin tone. I bought the L’Oreal True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum in the lightest shade available, which is ‘Very Light 0.5-2’, which is designed to work for those that are the shade 0.5 through to shade 2.0 in their True Match Foundation. Step 2. Next, use a damp makeup blender to buff your foundation, working from the center of your face, outward. Follow up with concealer like the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Full Wear Concealer up to 24H Full Coverage to mask blemishes or add more coverage. Additionally, choose one that’s two shades lighter to highlight the face or two shades deeper to contour.

Step 1. Start off by applying a primer, like the L’Oréal Paris Prime Lab Up to 24H Pore Minimizer, to create a smooth and even base for your foundation. A thin layer can make all the difference in how your makeup lasts and looks — smoothing lines, concealing pores, and minimizing redness. I’ve been busy testing this Tinted Serum for the past few weeks. We’ve also been having a heatwave in the UK, so this base product has really been put through its paces! description":"Self-care practices can suffer during busy periods in life – and skincare routines are no exception. Multi-step routines are able to transform skin concerns and encourage brightness and strength, but when we don’t have the time to follow them consistently, flare-ups like dryness or dullness can occur. Be sure to look at your swatch under different lighting before doing your entire face. And don’t just rely on your bathroom lights, be sure to test out your foundation in natural lighting as well to get a sense of what it will look like when you’re spending time outside. The L’Oreal True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum has launched in nine different shades. It’s not an inclusive shade range at all, but L’Oreal does make claims that each of the shades cater for multiple different skin tones. I find the finish a bit powdery actually. It reminds me very much of the Lancome Miracle Air de Teint which has been discontinued. I used to absolutely love that stuff and one year I wore nothing but all Summer. The shades were a bit crap, too warm or too grey. However, since there wasn’t much coverage, I could just about get away with it. Since that product was discontinued, I’ve been on a quest to find something like it. And I finally have! This performs just like it, it smells the same, it feels the same on the brush and with how it applies. It lasts just as long, it’s easy to wear for Summer and I’ve found a shade much better for me! Although I find the whole plumping tinted serum aspect confusing, the actual product is gorgeous! It’s just the foundation, and you can see the texture of my hand in the bottom left-hand corner, and then compare that to the section of skin with the foundation applied, it’s an incredible difference. I really didn’t think the shade would work for me, but I’ve been surprised by how flexible the shade is, thanks to the more hydrating, sheer formula.

Discover the True Match Nude Tinted Serum Foundation – with the plumping power of 1% Pure Hyaluronic Acid, now tinted. description":"There’s no denying a full face of makeup is stunning in its own way, but there are times you may want to opt for a subtler look. Maybe you’re running errands or simply want a slight boost for your work-from-home calls. Whatever your reasoning, a natural-looking foundation finish is the answer. Of course, achieving this can be easier said than done. If you’re not sure where to start, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to pull together four tips to keep in mind for your next natural makeup look." The L’Oreal True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum is the latest addition to the L’Oreal True Match collection. We’ve seen a lot of True Match launches over the years since the launch of the original True Match Foundation. As we mentioned, cool undertones appear in your complexion as hints of blue or pink and will be categorized as C in True Match Super-Blendable Foundation. Warm undertones appear more yellow or golden and appear as W in True Match Super-Blendable Foundation. If your undertones are neutral, which means you have a mix of warm and cool undertones, this will appear as N in True Match Super-Blendable Foundation. As the perfect makeup/beauty hybrid, this hydrating formula combines the advantages of a skincare serum with the radiance and coverage of a foundation. With 9 available super-blendable shades, it easily blends onto various skin tones, leaving skin with a naturally luminous finish for a flawless nude look. However, with this product, since it’s a skin tint, you need your skin to be dry? So I question how plumping and hydrating the hyaluronic acid would be. I’m no scientist though, so maybe there are other things in the formula that promote this. Therefore, someone with “ medium skin tone” would fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. Step 4: Combine undertone and skin tone depth to get your shade The L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder is a powder foundation. Here’s what to know about this easy-to-apply foundation: In the US, it’s called the L’Oreal True Match Nude Hyaluronic Tinted Serum, but in the UK it’s called the L’Oreal True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum, but it’s definitely the same product, and I couldn’t wait to try it once it finally launched in the UK.

I will say Hyaluronic Acid is high up on the ingredient list too, but below Dimethicone and Alcohol Denat. I could be miles away and L’Oreal’s chemists have found a way for the Hyaluronic Acid to still be hydrating. However, from what I’ve read and heard over the years, that’s not how I have been lead to believe HA works.

" Uniting skincare and makeup… yes it has a skincare ingredient, but I’ve already said above how I’m not sure how effective the HA would be in this formulation. I don’t find the formula overly drying, but it’s also not super hydrating either…. It does have a lot of alcohol in it to help it evaporate, so to me that’s a more drying ingredient. description":"Let’s be honest here: When it comes to foundation, we spend so much time trying to find the perfect shade to match our skin tones and undertones. We forget to consider important things like finish, formula and coverage, and which types of foundation are best for our skin’s actual needs. Since foundation is, well, the foundation of any great makeup look, it can be no easy task to pinpoint which product is perfect for you.
