Now this isn’t a spoiler since it’s literally written in the book blurb, but…OMG ADDIE AND COOPER GETTING MARRIED?! OMG! After a drunken night, the next morning Addie and Cooper discovered they got married! Well at least Adam didn’t have to worry about finding someone for Cooper anymore lol! The idea of Adalyn and Cooper being married was unexpected, but also amazing because, what started off as an accidental marriage ended up becoming so much sweeter and enjoyable along the way for Cooper and Adalyn. I kid you not, I was LITERALLY waiting for that iconic moment when Cooper would refer to Adalyn as his wife in either a passionate romantic moment or in a protective alpha way. Either way I was vibing along and enjoying the story the more I read. I love marriages of convenience but this type of marriage was another kind I absolutely loved! When books have vibrant characters, chances are I’m gonna love it. And Addie and Cooper are vibrant and funny and perfect. Addie is a wild girl and Cooper is the quiet, steady, art professor. The two of them slowly realize they’re perfect for each other and when the spice finally hits omfg I’m still thinking about the beach scene 👀

The Characters Hannah Writes Constantly Leave Me Speechless; This Was My Second Time Reading The Novel, And I Liked It Even More The Second Time. Every Book Has At Least One Character With Whom You May Identify. I Played The Female Protagonist In This Story Alongside Braxton. Somebody I Cherish Beyond Measure. He’s Been Smitten With Her Since They Were Teenagers, And At Age 12, He Already Knew He Wanted To Marry Her. The Cleanest. To Be Honest, I Didn’t Think I Would Enjoy This Book, But As Soon As I Started Reading, I Was Hooked Into Its World And Enjoyed Every Second Of It. Not Only Were Braxton And Maddox An Extremely Hot Couple, But They Were Also So Mature. Maddox Is One Of My Current Favourite Book Beaus From 2023. Thrillers based on domestic violence are a favourite psychological thriller theme, but this one makes an impact because of its professional language and authenticity. It’s given me hope that it can be done properly. No bc I ADORE both the characters. However, Poppy’s life is turned upside down when she discovers that her husband has been having an affair. She is devastated and unsure of what to do next. To make matters worse, she is also struggling with a difficult case at work and is being stalked by a mysterious stranger. Five of the most twinkling stars for Miss Hannah Cowan and her writing. This book was one of my most anticipated reads of 2023 and it’s safe to say that it did not disappoint. It gave everything it was supposed to give and more. I was screaming, crying, throwing up, laughing, jumping up and down with excitement. It gave me all the feels, heart palpitations and all the butterflies, every thing wrapped up in this one awesome book. Childhood friends to strangers to lovers is one of my guilty pleasures and Hannah has done it SO SO right. I ATE this up. Read the whole thing in 2 sittings and it wasn’t 1 only because I had to sleep. Maddox and Braxton and their story is so beautifully portrayed, the angst and the frustration of separation of 8 years and then seeing the subtle ways they kept each other alive in their lives even after everything that went down had my heart. I loved every thing about this book and will recommend it to anyone and everyone. Please go read it, that’s all I’m gonna say because I think I found myself a new comfort read. You should 100% read this if you like the following tropes:

Oakley & Ava are adorable, loved them. I really appreciated that there wasn’t a third act breakup. I love when an issue arises, and the couple works through it together.Cooper, far from the little boy we seen from Vital Blindside, I love that he got his own book and a love interest that pushes him out of his comfort zone. And his dirty mouth🥵🥵 damn, I was not expecting that but I loved every second of it. And the piercing , pleaseeeee , I’m obsessed 😮‍💨👀 The premise drew me in, and in many ways, it does fulfil its promise. The descriptions of Eve's life with Gregg are detailed and vivid. There's no doubt about his systematic destruction of her. For me, there is too much detail and too many examples of abuse. I don't need to drown in detail to understand.
