Long, Carolyn Morrow (October 2002). "Perceptions of New Orleans Voodoo: Sin, Fraud, Entertainment, and Religion". Nova Religio: The Journal of Alternative and Emergent Religions. 6 (1): 86–101. doi: 10.1525/nr.2002.6.1.86. The devil has escaped his prison in Hell and the Goddess of Death, Primrose Titan is on the hunt to find him and kill him. The council of deities, the High Court doesn’t trust Primrose to carry on the task on her own and appoints Atlas Grimm, the God of Ice to assist her. Savannah tries to postpone the unavertable, but soon Gregory will come in New Orleans to collect his lifemate before the horrible vampires steal her away from him. Remember to take each entry with a grain of salt; don’t just assume that these magic books are really magic or actually work. Many grimoires and other magical textbooks were written during the 15th century during a time when grimoires sold like hotcakes because of their superstitious outlooks and beliefs. So, just remember that the next time you try and hex or curse someone, it probably won’t do a thing but waste your time and whatever sacrifice you just used. Gregori would just put Savannah into a deep sleep whenever she refused to do his bidding. I found this very disrespectful and annoying at first. Then it just became comical that the hero would be so arrogant and dismissive of his life mate.

Almost every English author who subsequently wrote on the subject of witchcraft mentioned Scot disparagingly,” Davies writes of the period. Scot died in 1599; the book was not republished during his lifetime. There wasan abridged Dutch translation published in 1609, Davies notes, but was not republished in England until 1651, nearly three quarters of a century after its initial publication. I was being childish, Gregori, when I made such an accusation," she said softly, her eyes meeting his squarely. "I wanted my own life, with no one to answer to. It was thoughtless and wrong of me. And I was afraid. But I'm not now, and I ask your forgiveness - "-Savannah The characters in the book were far from "compelling" (from Michael Connelly's review), in fact they were about as shallow as they come, especially the female characters. If I had been a woman reading this, I'm pretty sure I would have been offended by his portrayal of the two main female characters. The dialogue is stiff and uninteresting, and at times, downright silly. The conflicts between friends and lovers are unconvincing when put in contrast to the life-and-death situations they find themselves in. Savannah? Were you trying to hit me?" "I did hit you - twice, you scum. You didn't even notice the first time." She sounded very irritated with him. For some reason it made him want to smile. "I apologize, mon amour. Next time, I promise I will notice when you strike me." The hard edge to his mouth softened into a semblance of a smile. "I will even go so far as to pretend that it hurts, if you wish it."-Gregori and Savannah I love you, Gregori," she whispered softly against his throat. "I really love you. The real you. Do you understand?"-Savannah Petersen, Jesper Aagaard (2009). Contemporary religious Satanism: A Critical Anthology. Ashgate Publishing, Ltd. ISBN 978-0-7546-5286-1.

Gault, Matthew (5 May 2022). "Russian State Media Claims to Discover Militarized Ukrainian Witches". Vice . Retrieved 18 May 2022. I’m 20 years late to this series which yes could make a huge difference. I may have enjoyed this more had I read it when it first came out. But I didn’t and I’ve struggled. I’ve found the books boring and repetitive. NEVER,NEVER Go after dark knowledge. even with a great experience and hard work , first of all you should became full honest with yourself and never go for your own benefitBut before they can figure out a way to alert the police, the evil forces send an assassin after Peter. Live, on stage, in the middle of his magic act. Primrose is a strong FMC and lives up to the normal goddess hype being strong willed, and stubborn 🤣. The journey through book one was superb, but the romance wasn’t for me. He gives her 5 years on her own, but by the time he comes to claim her he is very close to turning vampire. Their first sexual encounter starts as a seduction, but ends up as a rape. The beast inside him takes over and he nearly kills her. She talks him down and they complete the ritual to bind them as life mates. And just for the record, your mind needs to be washed out with soap! Half the things you think we're going to do are never going to happen. I could never look at you again."-Savannah Atlas Grimm is a grump but the best kind. Honestly all the tension and banter between Primrose and Lucifer and Primrose and Atlas is just off the charts and absolutely hilarious. Atlas despises anyone else being in charge of situations, as Primrose is a hard-headed and stubborn protagonist they predictably butt heads and it is so much fun to see them battling each other for control. I really loved seeing how Primrose brings out a kinder and more compassionate side to this rich, egotistical god, who sees other deities and humans as less than they are. He's a character that sneaks up on you, especially as you see his softer side, he's an absolute warrior and just an all round gorgeously grumpy ice god.
