Homme Soir is such a simplistic and straightforward kind of cologne, but I don’t think that I’ve encountered anything else like it. It is a classy and refine fragrance that is brilliant in its use of a limited amount of notes. Some of the more popular fragrances from the house of Bvlgari are their ‘Bvlgari Aqva’ line and their ‘Bvlgari Man’ line. Both these fragrance lines have inspired quite a few flankers, which are all equally great. Overall, Bvlgari has many different fragrances, and most of them are pretty amazing. It wasn’t something that I was all that crazy about at first, but this cologne really grew on me in a big way. Wearing this on a cold evening, really let’s the fragrance shine. This one gets plenty dark and has a smoky undertone, that is simply great. Boozy and spicy, then, smooth and warm.

Scent: Bvlgari Aqva Amara is a very pleasant scent with a nice, fresh, and refreshing scent. The opening of this fragrance is quite strong on a mandarin scent, creating a fruity, fresh, sweetness. Added to this is a fantastic neroli scent, adding even more fruity, fresh, sweetness. This fragrance has a very strong orange scent to it, along with a salty aspect. This saltiness represents the aquatic side of this fragrance, which makes for an interesting, fruity, salty scent.

BVLGARI Aqva Atlantiqve Eau de Toilette Spray, 3.3 Ounce – The Aqva line inhabits its own space in the male fragrance world. You have to be a fan of the marine/oceanic fragrances to truly appreciate them. Bvlgari Blv is a scent that sort of stands alone, in terms of its unique style. It has that familiar and subtle spice of ginger and cardamom. It has a super fresh quality and woody/outdoorsy notes, holding up its base. Scent: Bvlgari Man is a great fragrance with a modern, refined scent. The opening of this fragrance is fresh with a floral influence. Added to this is a strong peppery scent. This peppery scent will stay quite strong throughout the fragrance. The dry down is somewhat woody and sweet. Overall, this fragrance smells almost the exact same as the fragrance section of a department store, only with a more peppery and masculine scent. The house of Bvlgari was founded in 1884, however, they only started making fragrances since 1992. Ever since then, Bvlgari has released many different fragrances, both for men and women. However, it doesn’t stay citrus laden throughout like most aquatics and ends up with quite a moderate sillage. The orange note, actually fades pretty fast, and you get that seaweed coming in to its full effect. Notes: The top notes of Bvlgari Wood Essence are citrus and coriander. The middle notes are cypress and vetiver. The base notes are benzoin, cedarwood, and ambergris.Notes: The top notes of Bvlgari Man Extreme are pink grapefruit, bergamot, and cactus. The middle notes are white freesia, cardamom, and amber. The base notes are vetiver, benzoin, and woody notes. Notes: The top notes of Bvlgari Aqva Marine are neroli and grapefruit. The middle notes are Posidonia and sap. The base note is white cedarwood. Notes: The top note of Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir is Darjeeling tea. The middle note is Papyrus wood. The base notes are amber and musk. Notes: The top notes of Bvlgari Man are bergamot and violet leaves. The middle notes are lotus blossom, vetiver, and Cypriol. The base notes are white woods, sandalwood, cashmere woods, vegetal amber, benzoin, white honey, and musk. The dry down is where this one really takes on its own unique qualities. Cypriol, cedar, and other woody notes combine with musk and amber in the base.

However, you’ll mostly get a nice aquatic scent. You can get a salty, seaweed-like scent, reminiscent of the ocean. This oceanic, aquatic scent will be there for the remainder of this fragrance. Overall, you get a very natural smelling fragrance with a beautiful, aquatic scent. Notes: The top note of Bvlgari Aqva Amara is Sicilian mandarin. The middle note is neroli. The base notes are Indonesian patchouli and frankincense. They are mostly all among Bvlgari’s most popular, with some other, underrated gems. Some will be more versatile than a few of the niche entries on the list and I try to describe where each one falls on the spectrum.Scent: Bvlgari Aqva Atlantiqve is a fantastic fragrance with a fresh, citrusy, and aquatic scent. The dry down of this fragrance turns the aquatic, citrusy scent into a more woody and spicier version. Overall, a fantastic fragrance and a great flanker of the original Bvlgari Aqva. Notes: The top notes of Bvlgari Aqva Atlantiqve are aquatic notes, Calabrian bergamot, and Sicilian lemon. The middle notes are marine amber accords. The base notes are vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood, and benzoin. Bvlgari Man is a woody fragrance that is soft, smooth, and sweet with that bit of honey at its heart. Man is not at all an overpowering fragrance, it is more of one that demands others get closer for a better aroma.
