Description

Any serious spills should be mopped up with a cloth or towel first, followed by a good scrub with washing up liquid and warm water. Use a synthetic brush or cloth on the individual fibres affected and rinse off with cold water.

Like a natural grass lawn, your new artificial lawn needs care and attention to keep it looking its best. Of course, it doesn’t need mowing or edging but there are still things you should do regularly to look after it. Not only is Hestia an affordable and top-quality artificial grass choice for anyone wanting a freshly-cut lawn look; it also has many other benefits. It is pet-friendly (one of the best pet-friendly artificial grass options if you ask our customers!) and safe for children too. There is also no need to worry about your garden looking sparse and looking worn down because Hestia is a 30mm pile artificial grass. Ideal for playing on (which makes it the perfect grass for any family garden) and good for light sports use.Artificial grass will save you both money and time in the long run, given that you don't need to worry about mowing your lawn, hiring a gardener or watering your garden. For people who like to have artificial grass that looks lush and evergreens like real grass and even a bit wild a 40mm artificial grass will do the magic. If you are expecting limited foot traffic, this idealized pile height can be a real eye-catcher. The longer pile of artificial turf will also prevent dust from blowing indirectly. If your artificial grass is being laid on a harder surface, like concrete or tarmac, clear away any rubbish first so the area is flat before you start. Then, stretch the lawn out and roller it to get rid of any ripples.

One of the most popular grass types within our 30mm range is the Kansas collection. A member of our premium selection of 30mm artificial grass, this synthetic lawn is available as a two-tone mix of dark green blades, supported by a green and brown curled root system. We’ve worked hard to replicate real grass as close as possible by adding such small details so it looks like the real thing. Why Buy 30mm Artificial Grass? While artificial is more expensive than turf - and far more expensive than a kilogram of grass seed - its length of life means that, depending on your living situation, it could be a once-in-a-lifetime outlay.Where you have a requirement to join two pieces of grass, the join should be made before fixing to the frame pinning to the ground. You need to ensure that the pile on both pieces runs in the same direction, if not the end result will look like two completely different pieces of grass. Once the area has been compacted with aggregate, install sharp sand to a depth of 15-20mm. Level and compact once again. If you are installing the grass on a concrete surface, we recommend using an underlay for a better feel and easier maintenance. Batten out the perimeter of the area to be covered with pressure-treated (tanalised) timber to create a frame. Fix the frame to the ground using wooden pegs around 1-foot-long (the size of pegs needed may vary depending on the ground conditions). The purpose of the frame is two-fold as not only does it contain the aggregate but it also provides a secure frame onto which the grass can be fixed using galvanised screws

Comparing the pile density is very important. The higher the pile density the more lush the grass will look. The low-density artificial can look scarce and thin. For heavy user areas, we suggest choosing a dense pile with somewhere between 16,500 and 18,000 stitches per square meter. Pile height:20mm or less Sometimes, your grass might need an extra wash if some animal waste is still remaining. A simple hose down with water should be sufficient, to remove dirt and dust build up. For more stubborn dirt then warm soapy water will remove stains. The easiest way to apply this is through a spray bottle, which can then be hosed down. There is no need for harsh chemicals, especially when your grass is used by pets. If fully glued down, we recommend the surface be fully rolled with a weighted carpet roller or similar tool periodically for an hour for good adhesion. Leave the adhesive to dry for 12 hours before you make use of the new surface. If you’ve got pets, clean up after them straightaway and use artificial turf spray to get rid of any urine
