I've read almost all of Emma's other books, including those she writes as Samantha Garman. I love her work because she creates beautiful, intriguing worlds filled with flawed, sometimes malevolent, characters but somehow makes you understand and respect them by the end. Lovers of her SINS series will find similarities in how she creates the hero and heroine and will be intrigued by the connections between the worlds. Then he meets Eleanor, and he’s instantly captivated by her, by she, unknowingly, works for the enemy.

Did I have to pause to look up a piercing? Yup. Was it worth it? You bet your smut loving heart it was 🔥 Hunter has known where Isobel is every moment of every day since he walked away from her. They thought they broke and caged him and used her to do it. They had no idea who they were messing with. For three years he's put his plans into action and now Isobel is his again he'll never let her go. He will just have to show her how much she means to him and how together they will end her tormentors forever. He has loved her since the first day he saw her and he'll die loving only her. I have to admit I got a little emotional in this book as I started to see characters from previous books make their appearances. Ria knows how to weave a story together in the span of multiple books/series.This beautiful, inked, criminal wanted to protect and shield me. He wanted a family with me. He wanted a life with me, and I wanted one with him. I am OBSESSED with Hunter. He is the most ruthless villain, yet I’d want him for myself as much as Isobel! The chemistry between these two are what people can only imagine. Their obsession for one another deadly. Isobel is as much as a bad*ss as Hunter, the two of them the perfect storm. there was a character death that had me stunned to speak for a few moments after reading it, I had hoped for this character to get their story told eventually but alas, not meant to be.

I was not expecting to like this book. I didn’t have much expections since it’s my first time reading this author’s work. I was the daughter of an MC president. I was related to the O'Banions as well as the Capones. My bloodlines did not lie and I was born for this life. The synopsis is that Mia works in a bar and one night a guy tries it on with her so she walks up to a hot guy - Colt - who has just walked in and she asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend to scare off the other chap. One hot kiss later and the other guy is gone. Mia and Colt part ways until she sees him beating someone up. There follows an incident which sees Mia's boss in trouble with a nasty MC President, Dev , and subsequently Mia ends up running away. She flees and the person who ends up keeping her safe is the President of the Blue Angels MC, Colt.I could listen to James read the dictionary and it would sound sexy. He made an excellent Kingston, and I loved having him in my earbuds for a day. I’ve listened to several books with Zara narrating recently so it was a little difficult to separate out those characters from this one, and I thought her voice sounded a little young for the way I pictured Ellena, but it did help play up the innocent aspect of her character’s personality. Also, why is everyone blurting out their life story two minutes into a conversation? It's like every new character introduced has to explain how crappy their life was and it just made no sense.

More on the extremely fast-paced storyline - Mia goes and gets Colt's club and name tattooed on her after ten days of knowing him (and he gets her name on him)...and they say I love you afterwards. Less than two weeks they've known each other lol. Alone and not strong enough to carry out her plan Eleanor is in danger. With King gone will there be any chance that she will survive? I don't think anyone could have done Isobel any better than Ms. Hampton-Brown. She was an absolute delight to listen to. I could feel every emotion that Isobel did. She played broken Isobel so well that my heart was broken and vengeful Isobel made me grin with her sass.This audio is narrated by Zara Hampton-Brown & Joe Arden. A primal and raw Joe Arden is always a winner and, in this audio, he brings it. He’s so good at whisper growl in that icy, cold voice that’s just on the verge of losing control. “ ..say it again, Snow. Moan my name.” Yes, please! Seating is located just above the shoreline where visitors can sit and watch the abundant marine life of the Wester Ross Marine Protected Area. Watch working fishing boats out at sea and the ferry passing as it sails for the Hebrides from Ullapool. Besides the romance being beautiful there was a lot of other story going on as well. Some of it had me legitimately crying tears. Like streaming down my face. This was definitely an emotional read which is why I'm trying to decide if I want to put it on my re-read shelf because it took a lot out of me. However, let me tell you, it was so well written. For an author to make me feel that much, you have to give her props. Thank you for this story (while King is still my favorite - I've claimed him) I would let Hunter and his dark broken piece in any time.
