Her talking about all-day pool parties and insisting that La Mer is the best facial moisturizer made me roll my eyes. For those of you who don't know who Stassi is, she's on a famous reality TV show and she is the most Basic B you'll ever meet. I will tell stories about losing my virginity, totally screwing up on social media, and learning that I don’t know shit about life—which is a pretty good lesson to learn in your twenties—and how not everything can be solved by bingeing on Taco Bell. She made made money off me (I drank the kool-aid and thought this book might be worth it) so I purchased it. This book is for everyone out there who is tired of pretending they would rather read War and Peace or see a Daniel Day-Lewis movie about sewing than watch a Saw marathon and drink a delicious but basic AF cocktail like a Kir Royale.

It’s amazing what you can learn about friends in a situation where you have to take a shovel into the woods to poop, or realizing the only true heroes at a campsite are the coffee bringers.I purchased Next Level Basic for this camping trip thinking it would be a light read and help me go down for my mid-afternoon hammock nap.

Similarly, to when Stassi went to Scheana’s show in Season 1 to make fun of her, I also wanted this book to be a goldmine of vapid and idiotic observations detailing the warped mind of Stassi Schroeder. I find Stassi and her adorable now fiance Beau hilarious and very entertaining on the show, so I figured her book would a fun, light-hearted break from the heaviness.If you think chanting in a yoga class is the best thing ever, then good for you (even though it makes me want to gouge my eyes out with steaming-hot pokers). I have never really listened to a podcast before, but I imagine this book to be like 1 big podcast conversation - just chit chat about this and that - and end everything thing with AF. This book reads like an audition for a bland lifestyle show on the Home network, and that’s disappointing.
