I was seriously excited to speak to Creative Director Christine Taylor as part of this series, and when you read through our chat below I just know you’re going to fall in love with her too. The recipes are easy to follow and the pictures are so tantalising I doubt you’ll be able to turn from page to page without making a mental note of when you will take a shot at each delicacy , I know that’s what I was doing. The tough experiences, the harsh decisions and the poverty that comes with starting a business from scratch, was crucial. Between them, over the last two decades they have shaped and re-shaped the world of cake and chocolate, with their most brilliant team of Doodahs. Not Willy Wonka's high-camp industrial unit somewhere on a trading estate in Middle America - but Brighton's very own Choccywoccydoodah.

It's Christmas time in the world of Choccywoccydoodah and Dave is preparing a 4-foot chocolate stag for a window display. Even when they aren’t at their best, that’s up to us to tell them off not the British, or worldwide public. The recipes themselves all look wonderfully enticing, and range in complexity from the ridiculously easy 'Banana Split' to the much more intimidating 'Choccy Chestnut Roulade'. The best lesson I've learnt through running my business is that I can't please everybody so I'm not going to waste my time trying. The design of the book itself is quirky and unlike a traditional recipe books, it feels more handmade and special, just like their creations.Sad, risk is one thing, but I felt it was more about looking good for TV, and all show, than good business. The book does also have photos of some of the more elaborate cakes the choccywoccy team create, and they are very certainly impressive looking. Famous world-over for their creations in confection I am a huge fan, and even more-so now I’ve got to know the team behind the yummy personally. I hope that people think that when they come in here, because it is an adventure and it should be magical and I hope it is.
