The interview does not bear fruit, however, and to escape possible pursuit by the MGB, they seek out Raisa's former colleague. With his passing, a violent regime is beginning to fracture - leaving behind a society where the police are the criminals, and the criminals are innocent. A series of murders now has all of Moscow on edge, and no one–no matter how powerful or connected–seems safe. Principal photography began in June 2013 in the cities of Prague, Ostrava, and Kladno in the Czech Republic, and continued in Romania.
