Every summer, Meredith’s family vacations in Martha’s Vineyard and I kind of want to experience summer on this little Massachusetts island now, with the sandy trails, all of Meredith’s family houses, the bike rides, the beach and the pond and everything else.

But when she forms an alliance with a cute groomsman, she's at risk of losing both the game … and her heart.Fans of the genre (and Taylor Swift fans) will enjoy this breezy romance that checks so many boxes as a fun, light, beach read. She decides to continue with her plan to attend Hamilton College and to continue healing with the help of her parents, but she also decides to get a therapist and start a long-distance relationship with Wit, knowing that they will have the opportunity to reunite at Martha’s Vineyard next summer. Yes, loss and grief was a part of the story but there weren’t a ton of sad moments, and it felt more like a summer romance, than someone trying to get over a loss.

I loved the plot, because not only were we watching as Meredith and Witt fell for each other over the course of a week, the majority of the plot was about the characters engaging in a game of assassin.
