I started with this book a few weeks ago and gave up on it before it was half way cause I just could not find a reason to continue!

The Camel Club is my favorite of David Baldacci's series because of its misfit crew led by a homeless vet who lives in a cemetery a little north of Georgetown. Showboat Medical Examiner Margot Heavner makes it clear that, breaking with her department’s earlier practice ( The Bone Collection, 2016, etc.Because Sebastian, though jaded and cynical, as literary lawyers are required to be, apparently still believes in justice, for which reason, accompanied by a bodyguard named Partner (“a hulking, heavily armed guy who wears black suits and takes me everywhere”), he finds himself in a podunk burg where a client is fighting for his life against the charge that he’s brutally murdered two little girls in a spectacularly gruesome crime. With his books published in at least 45 different languages, and with over 100 million copies in print, he is one of the world s favourite storytellers. The president has personally requested that Stone serve his country again on a high-risk, covert mission. While this novel was published in 2010, it's surprising how the international situations and technological innovations from 13 years ago still hold relevance in today's world. Hell's Corner in the fifth and final book in The Camel Club Series by David Baldacci, first published in November of 2010. Because of the location of the park, the jurisdictional challenges are enormous with the Secret Service, Homeland Security, the Park Service and the FBI as well as the DC Police all responsible for different pieces of the park.The fifth part of the Camel Club series, Hell’s Corner is a good, engaging read, but one that was just short of four stars. The story rattles along at a good pace and has enough twists and turns but as always it's the characters that I struggle with - they are just too perfect for their roles. Chapman is a protegee of a man Carr saved back in 1977, James McElroy, and who has his own agenda that twists and turns throughout this story. And one last thing, can we please do away with Scooby Doo endings where bad guys explain why and how they did everything? Again, I'm a big fan of the Camel Club series, and if I had it to do over, I'd skip this one completely, and hope for a better one next time.
