You can learn more about mindfulness and its part in the Five Precepts of Buddhism with our Teaching Wiki here. I hope you’ve enjoyed trying using breathing activities with these simple calming colouring by numbers as much as we did. Great for a variety of activities, you can use them to reinforce fine motor skills, as inspiration for independent writing, or just for fun! Give children these resources and then ask them to create similar pictures based on their own favourite animals. There are no abstract lines or eye-crossing geometrical patterns here; every image is rooted in life and realism, with pertinent quotes to inspire.

Based on a calming nature theme, these simple but beautiful colouring pages, encourage mindfulness and creativity.

The aim is to take the pages and turn them into a mini-booklet (multi up, double-sided so it's small), and he has 10 mins of colouring at the end of the day. We use them when they have a free moment and also to calm and focus the children when they are particularly excited. Children can chill out by colouring snoozing foxes, peaceful mountains and graceful birds, or let their imagination wander over swirling patterns and doodles. All you need to apply is to have a debit or credit card, to be over 18 years of age, and to be a UK resident. With so many fantastic mindfulness resources for you to use, you can help support your children's mental wellbeing in lots of different ways.

The cover may have some limited signs of wear but the pages are clean, intact and the spine remains undamaged. Whether it's jellyfish, sea anemones, dolphins, orca whales or charming corals, there is something for everyone in this delightful kit.Join Sarah’s mailing list and get a FREE guide to boosting your mood, and an exclusive short story by Sarah, The Polka Dot Umbrella. We are currently closed while we move warehouse locations, but hope to be open again the beginning of Feb!

Teaching your children ways to cope with the emotions they experience can also help them self-regulate. We have forest school on a Thursday and there's often a 15 minutes gap between the time we get back and when the children go for lunch, so nice to have something to hand to give them for that time. When colouring, the brain remains in control of its thoughts and employs both sides of the cerebral cortex. You can do this by tracing your finger from one cloud to the next and breathing in and the tracing it back and breathing out. From author Sarah Rayner and illustrator Jules Miller comes a delightful book combining advice and tips on managing anxiety with illustrations designed specially to colour in.I love the Birthday Cake colour by numbers sheet and the Lion colour by numbers sheet for these activities.
