Description

With a bright switch for more top-end (if you want the delays to cut through the mix) and a modulation switch which adds a chorusy tone to your repeats. The MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay features a completely analog audio path for the ultimate in rich, warm delay-made possible only by old-school bucket brigade technology. And, the best thing is that all it takes is a simple twist of a knob to unlock all of these amazing features.

Fans of digital delay might want to give this pedal a go because it offers more than a standard analog delay pedal- up to 600ms delay time, subtle modulation and warm clarity. In the top left corner the MOD switch adds a small amount of modulation (a slight up and down pitch shift) to the delayed signal.

You can also get some excellent effects from playing with the dials whilst a sound is being repeated, great for creating soundscapes and big sweeping tones. This switch adds a small amount of modulation (a slight up and down pitch shift) to the delayed signal. To achieve its clear, warm tone, the Carbon copy relies on a traditional bucket brigade chip with up to 600 milliseconds of delay time.

There's also some technique involved in not hitting too many sharply damped notes on slow songs which allow the echo too stand out too much. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The Carbon Copy Analog Delay delivers rich, warm bucket-bridgade delay with up to 600ms of delay time and modulation. If you require a delay pedal for subtle ambience, the Carbon Copy won’t let you down, or if you use delay as the back bone of creating riffs the Carbon Copy will provide you with a lot to play with. When the pedal is on it gives a subtle presence to your overall sound, this helps to retain clarity but it does not effect the comforting sound of those decaying repeats. On the tonal side, the Carbon Copy Deluxe Analog Delay lets you choose between the original s dark, mellow wash and the vibrant articulation of the Bright version with the push of a switch. We're celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Carbon Copy Analog Delay with this special edition featuring a lightweight aluminum housing with a metallic silver finish.

If you're looking for a quality analog delay pedal, you will struggle to find better than the MXR Carbon Copy M169 Analog Delay.

But this double switch carbon copy deluxe has a tap tempo on-board which means you can easily get your guitar in-sync with the song you're playing at the time. While it may lack the elaborate controls of some digital modelers, it more than makes up for it in its tried-and-true bucket brigade-driven analog tone. There will be a delay in dispatching any guitar containing either Bubinga or Rosewood of up to 4 weeks while we obtain the necessary certification for export. Equipboard may receive compensation for purchases made at participating retailers linked on this site.
