I don't mind alcohol in scents but it just isn't office safe for that reason or people might think you're drinking at work.

It is stronger than the original, but not in a flattering way due to that terrible choice in quality of Leather, it ruined the fragrance for me. It’s quality but I’m not a fan of amber frags and honestly you could just get a cheapie like Montblanc legend night and it smells similar. I first smelled this and was absolutely in love with the intoxicatingly rich and spicy cardamom - a note that I am already very fond of and I think this bottle has used it masterfully! I wish they bumped up the performance on this, as it lasts 4 hours on my skin and dies out fast to a skin scent.Overall, whilst the projection and longevity are somewhat lacking, it is, with 10 fragrances in my collection now, still my dayly go-to. A simple reformulation of the original fragrance to bring it back to it's former glory is all that we want! Not one of those nose-blasters, wherein one walks by you and you can taste the top, middle and base notes in your mouth. I keep waiting for the boozy, spicy notes to wear off into something sweeter but it hasn't happened. I don't want to hype this too much as it'll be massively hyped anyway but I like this a lot (for info I've never owned a YSL) although I don't find it anything new at all and is kind of more of the same (not necessarily a bad thing).

After which, the leather and Tonka become the most prominent and these are accompanied by a slight powdery texture, while the famed cardamom retreats to a supporting background role on this iteration as opposed to being the protagonist like on the original. I have a 2010-era bottle that I recently pulled out, so cannot speak to the current blend if it’s been changed. i feel this suits even at summer and spring days, its seductive its clean its citrusy i wear it all periods hot days cold days nights pool party anything and i have no headache from it .But this one just didn't work for me because of the caraway, even though it isn't the dominant note. Personally, I'd prefer to hit the middle ground of wearing something I like, and will please others; for that I go with the original or the Bleu Electrique flanker instead. Be that as it may, the performance is just as bad as l'homme, so I'd actually suggest wearing this in summer (especially at night, as implied by the name). For me it's a timeless fragrance and one the last designer fragrances that I really fell in love for. It has the basic vibe of the original though more generic and so much weaker that I wish I didn't go through my old bottles so quickly.

I initially smelt it via a tester at Sephora, and it was love at first sniff, the cardamom gives a nice warm spicy feeling and the lavender is soothing, it's perfectly blended. I can see that, but only in the dry down, and Ferragamo black is a much better bottle in my opinion. I strongly recommend that La Nuit, L'Homme, Tuxedo are the Masterpieces in the line and all you need from this house as of date of writing. You can almost detect each component working differently, it is linear and get the job done effectively.Any fragrance connoisseur knows the original La Nuit - this flanker is a bold and daring departure from that legendary DNA to darker and more adventurous territory and let us unpack it very briefly: This is a dense and enveloping fragrance loaded to the rafters with cardamom, leather and Tonka to create an aura of fire around any so daring as to wear the scent.
