Description

This boxed set is built around a massive Knight Questoris kit, which can build Canis Rex or any of the Questoris-class Knights – including Paladin, Crusader, Warden, Errant, Gallant, and Preceptor. This mighty lynchpin is supported by four fast-moving Armiger-class scouts – two Armiger Helverins offer supporting fire with powerful autocannons, and two Armiger Warglaives rush in when the fighting gets up close and personal. This box provides six plastic models with a range of build options, making it an ideal way to start a new Imperial Knights army or add to your existing collection. If you love the idea of world-weary warriors and misfits banding together, or luxuriate in converting bespoke vehicles, a ‘seven Samurai’ style Freeblade Lance may be just right for you. In ninth edition there were rules for fielding this kind of force, and it’s really likely that they’ll show up as a new Detachment in 10th edition when the Codex comes out.

However, the battleforces didn’t stop there, as they also released new Space Marine boxes and even an Arks of Omen battleforce box.

Questoris Knights

A fairly varied mix of Adeptus Mechanicus units that looks like a solid starter army out of the box, the Adeptus Mechanicus Elimination Maniple Battleforce comes with 20 models total, including:

Having reviewed the 40k battleforce value there’s definitely something for fans of the armies on offer, but it feels like they’re targeted towards new players, or those that havent’t already got the named characters. They aren’t all fantastic but theres some strong foundations and averaging about 33% savings isn’t to be sniffed at. If you want to get the biggest 40k battleforce value then the Thousand Sons, Knights and Custodes are your best options in our opinion – but what do you think the best box is this year? Let us know in the comments! Another force that was more popularised this year through Warhammer Imperium and this will help you double up on some of the units we got there. We initially thought this value was really high, but now it makes sense, as they made this with the price increases in mind!

Imperial Knights – Chainbreaker Lance

Magnus the Red is the 41st Millenium’s premiere big scarlet-skinned chap, at least until his very angry brother turns up. Joining him are 23 of his sons – 20 dusty Rubric Marines and three Exalted Sorcerers living their best arcane life. The Knights box is a little more flexible and a pretty good buy, as the models are generic enough to want multiples. Battleforce: Thousand Sons – Court of The Crimson King Plunge into the fires of battle with Adrax Agatone and a solid wall of 20 resilient Intercessors. Then hammer the anvil of war with the gravis-armoured might of three Eradicators and three Aggressors. The Warforged Strike Force is as Salamanders as they come, and provides you with all the sturdy CORE Infantry you need to make good use of the chapter’s new secondary objective. These points may seem low, but the Heavy Intercessors have to pay additional points for Heavy Weapons) Raven Guard – Ravenstrike Battleforce Warhammer Community / Games Workshop Unit

However, things have taken an exciting turn now. The Chainbreaker Lance will now be an MTO offering for trade accounts in NA. This means we probably won’t see any of them hit shelves until mid-February. This is better than never getting them, but it raises a few interesting questions.Battleforce Box Price” Assumed until confirmed 2022 40k Battleforce – Space Marines – Imperial Fists (Contents, Price, Value & Savings) In your Command phase, each Questoris Knight with a Bondsman ability can select an Armiger knight within 12″; both models will benefit from whatever that Bondsman ability is, until your next Command phase. Super-heavy Walker The absurdly bulky Porphyrion and Asterius occupy the Acastus class. They’re the largest vehicles that a single pilot can control through a Throne Mechanicum without losing their mind to the mount’s belligerent machine spirit. There is no recommended Combat Patrol force for Imperial Knights and, with their incredibly high toughness compared to the anti-infantry weaponry ported by the forces in the other combat Patrol boxes, we don’t think there will be one. Claiming objectives will be less painful for Knights in 10th editionthan it has been in previous editions thanks to the new Objective Control stat. Armigers; Armigers have OC8, equivalent to four dedicated objective grabbing infantry or eight regular footsloggers.
