I honestly love this sibling duo, and everyone’s reactions to finding a demon and a demon hunter together. Readers of all ages will enjoy coloring the gorgeous artwork, action-packed scenes, and funny moments from one of the best-selling series of all time! Like The Promised Neverland, Gotogue’s art remains unlike anything else in Shonen Jump, with this application of classic Japanese art complemented beautifully by the story’s bleak tone (and even then, somehow rare comedic moments like with Haganezuka hardly feel out of place). He also meets his nemesis and two surprising allies, which actually changes a lot about what we know about demons from volume 1!

We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. Tanjiro passes the test to become an official demon slayer, but he doesn’t get the chance to ask any demons about saving his sister before he has to slay them.

Okay, I don’t know what happened between Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s first volume and this second iteration, but the first eight pages gripped my attention, drowned my heart in melancholy, and kept both in its clutches throughout its nine chapters — a feat rendered even more incredible when you consider the serialization rendered chapters seven and eight only a week apart. While walking through the crowd, Tanjiro smells the demon who murdered his family and turned his sister, the powerful Kibutsuji.

However, our biggest introduction is in Muzan Kibutsuji, the well-dressed demon depicted on the above cover. I’m still finding the fight scenes a little bit rushed and confusing to follow, but the art style is improving, so I'll probably continue reading.

The sudden transition from a timeless rural setting equivalent to the "vaguely medieval" world common in western fantasy to urban Tokyo is jarring! We don't see how bad he really is, yet, but passing for human and being able to turn people into demons by a scratch is pretty powerful. The Demon Slayer saga continues, there's more character development (and new characters are introduced) and it's all wrapped up in some great artwork. There is one thing that I really appreciate with the way Koyoharu Gotouge executes the action scenes, and that is something he masterfully shows in this volume. Now armed with information about the demon who killed his family and turned his sister, he is seeking vengeance and a way to turn her back.

I like how the manga is slowly introducing the main villain of the series and presenting credible threats in different demons all distinct and posing a challenge to our boy and it gets better with his sword techniques especially the art of him fighting is breath taking! Giyu Tomioka's Story: Part 1 · Giyu Tomioka's Story: Part 2 · Kyojuro Rengoku's Story: Part 1 · Kyojuro Rengoku's Story: Part 2 · Kimetsu Between the Scenes!

This box set contains all 23 volumes of the global hit Demon Slayer as well as an exclusive booklet and a double-sided poster. This inches up to 8 stars mostly because of the evil Michael Jackson ;) But I also love how Gotouge depicts the remnants of human vulnerability in demons, and how Tanjiro's compassion brings the long-faded humanity back to fore at their final moments. I can't help but cackle when Nezuko's panels are just her with a leg in the air bc she kicks first, thinks second.
