The second group of books was released on 29 August 2017. Then, Dr. Tenth: Christmas Surprise! was released on 17 October 2017. The third group of books was released on 6 February 2018. Later that year, on 6 November, a new book starring the then-recently debuted Thirteenth Doctor was released. Dr First, Dr Fourth, Dr Eleventh and Dr Twelfth will be followed with eight further titles, one for each doctor. The text is rather simple and straightforward. Hargreaves aptly captured the essence of the Fifth Doctor's stoicism fairly well. The illustrations are a perfect combination between the Doctor Who and the Mr Men and Little Miss universes. The Fifth Doctor depicted really looks like Peter Davison from the Mr Men and Little Miss universe.When Doctor Who returned in 2005, showrunner Russell T Davies introduced a whole new generation to the Autons! The opening episode Rose scared young and old alike with shop dummies coming to life due the Nestene Consciousness desire to take over the Earth.
