Odd, for me, I started the year reading books by authors I'd read before. And then I randomly acquired this one and read it by an author I'd not read before. I was cleaning shelves. This was on one of my maybe shelves, started reading sample and ended up buying and reading. I really liked hearing a story that was from multiple points of view. The dragon's POV was the most interesting. The author put a lot of thought into how a dragon would think and act. The characters are well developed and have arc. Each chapter has them growing and developing. There are a lot of characters but they enter the story in a well balanced progression.
