About this deal

So, what’s the difference between this Platinum Sister and the other variants? Well, there are 2 huge differences that will (may) make you want it! Another change for this model versus the marines in the previous series is the head sculpt – which to me just looks a little off. Thoughts?

The Body sculpt is identical to the model used in Series 1. Just with the hands swapped out, the skin bits added and a spikey spine. All of the surface battle damage is identical to last years model. McFarlane Necron Flayed One – Artists ProofIs it just me that thinks this is a cool idea but also a bit daft? McFarlane Warhammer Figures – Full Collection

The Gauss Flayer looks like it has warped along the barrel, but this is something I’m used to with McFarlane Models as the plastic/resin is quite soft and bendy Yes, I know that since Indomitus released, Necron are GW’s tertiary poster boys right now, but when this line was release I was hoping for a bit more range than this. Right so, below we detail the specific models you get in each wave of the Mcfarlane Series. McFarlane Warhammer Figures – Wave 1 McFarlane Toys – Ultramarines Primaris Assault Intercessor

Demon Slayer

Bizarrely the Artists proof version of a flayed one is actually a different sculpt to the painted version. The sculpt of this model has gone full Blood Angel – with about as much effort put in as GW put into their faction-specific upgrade sprues.

Hot on the heels of Games Workshop’s Bandai Space Marines. Gdubyas partnered up with Mcfarlane toys to create a line of Acton figures. These are far more affordable than the Bandai varients at 1/3rd the cost. Awww yes! This is awesome. An incredibly detailed sculpt. Remember just over a year or so ago when we were crying out for Plastic Sisters, and here they are now represented in cast resiny stuff and standing 7″ tall! awesome Once again, not as hulking or armour-clad as your tabletop Meganobz, but as they are a rank & file model, I’m not too fussed. they look good. That is literally the only difference on this box vs the McFarlane Adepta Sororitas Battle Sister. Seriously, even the barcode is the same. And now comes the time when I explain how you can get this variant. Imperial observers have likened the fire of a Hellblaster Squad to the incinerating power of a stellar flare. Bolt after bolt of plasma sears across the battlefield; those caught in the Hellblasters’ sights are swiftly annihilated, their armor blasted to ash and their flesh and bone to glowing motes. Even armored fighting vehicles are swiftly reduced to heaps of metallic slag. Deployed at the correct point and time, a single Hellblaster Squad can blunt the thundering assault of an armored spearhead or lay low even the most titanic alien fiend.Identical to the previous releases in terms of the sculpt and accessories, but this time in Red and White. Once this stage was done, it was time to add weathering to the model. I used Rhinox Hide for most of this process, first adding a more watered-down mix with a brush to some of the deeper recesses of the miniature, then dragging that mix down in areas to create dirty drips. The notable changes to this model versus the others is firstly the loadout, we have a Plasma Pistol and Power Sword. This programme is also subject to abuse and confusion. Sure most specialist toy stores probably get the newsletter from Mcfarlane explaining what this line is. But larger companies, how would they communicate this down to the staff.

I really like this. it’s dynamically posed, joints look well hidden and it is incredibly detailed. the paint job looks solid. sure the final version will be of lower quality, but this still looks pretty darn good. Really looking forward to seeing these ones painted up by some of you pro’s out there. Warhammer McFarlane Big MekFinally, the body now has sculpted battle damage on the surface, on the knees at least. It’s hard to see in the image above as they are sculpted in but not accented with any paint to emphasize the armour distress. But you can see it more clearly on the Artist’s Proof version below. McFarlane Space Marine Hellblaster – Artists Proof The Artists’ Proof edition of the mega-armoured Ork Big Mek is the perfect opportunity for you to try your hand at painting a large-scale greenskin. Armed and equipped with the same wargear as the painted version, you can add your own creative flair to this awesome action figure to make it truly your own. Tyranid Genestealer As a separate line within the McFarlane ecosystem, they offer models under the branding – “Gold Label Collection”. I could regurgitate all of Mcfarlane’s mumbo-jumbo or you can just read it here.
