I am not sure that I bought that the H felt he was just being used by the h for sex when he knew how long she’d loved him for. Brick had a sudden desire to walk right out into the cold and avoid whatever bomb Mira was about to drop. Other characters that appear in the story include Aldo, Sophie, Gloria, Claire, Charlie, Frank, Joni, and Ty who are essential to the story. Not to mention, his frequent sporting of a steel rod in his pants at the slightest provocation in those situations between them.When not spending hours crafting heartbreaker heroes and kick-ass heroines, Lucy can be found on the couch, in the kitchen, or at the gym. Then when they did start having sex, he wanted her all the damn time, but then he started having doubts about her feelings. this is going to be the review that i’ll struggle the most because i have so much to say yet i’m still speechless. Side characters never received any page time because, after 15 years of pining after each other, the few months this book takes place in is mostly page after page of unnecessary sex scenes over and over. After an actual lifetime of him pushing her away and hurting her at every turn, he is somehow carrying around a rage boner at HER?
