Ariana and Cash were both great characters. Individually. They had so much potential, but that wasn’t reached when they were together. There was very little romance in this book (as well as smut surprisingly). Even with 5% remaining I couldn’t tell if they really liked each other or enjoyed the other’s company. That could partly be because they never once talked about anything besides business. So when they kinda sorta confessed their “I love you’s” (wait did they?? 🤔) I did a double take. We didn’t get to really dive deep into their personalities enough which is such a shame. Also, idk if it was just me, but a lot of their characteristics felt contradictory. Souls and Sorrows” is a modern masterpiece, a powerful novel that can be read on its own. This novel is written by Sav R. Miller. She is a true storyteller, and Souls and Sorrows is her best book. It’s an epic tale of family, secrets, loss, marriage, betrayal, friendships, laughter, and regrets. Souls and Sorrows is a heartfelt novel written with compassion and hope, reconciling the past to pave a road to happiness and second chances. The characters in this novel bring life and heart to this story, each with a distinct voice and personality. They made reader love them, they made reader sad, they made reader angry, they made reader laugh, they made reader cry, and they made reader believe in the promise of love and home.

Honestly, If you’d told me prior to reading this book that any of the male leads would rival Jonas for my affections, I would have laughed in your face, then enters Cash. He’s basically imprinted on me because I finished this book a couple nights ago and he’s still on my mind. ariana. if i ever get to meet you either in the afterlife, or my imagination i’m giving you an enormous hug, and hopefully you will let me. you are such a strong woman and you deserve every single sliver of happiness and obsession that cash—or your readers give you. The characters are flawed, yet beyond perfect. The cameos and intersection of other stories is what I live for. I won’t go into details, but if you like that sort of thing, you’ll love this book. Sav R. Miller proved it again!! I already knew this story was gonna be superb. Cash and Ariana stole my heart from the very instant of the book. The chemistry and electric spark between them OMG SO HOT!! SO INTENSE!! Like I said, it’s sounds freaking creepy. It’s not that I’m a dark romance hater, because I read dark romances since I was too young, but this is straight up bad.

And the spice? Well dang. It was hotter than a trip to a sauna. It was sexy as it was unique and dark. Perfection. And I devoured every second of it. The plot in this book was just so much fun to follow. I was really invested in the world and how much world-building went into it. I just loved seeing what would happen next and I was very interested in seeing what it would be. This story just kept me super engaged in the story and I thought it was a lot of fun to read. The world in this book was just built very nicely and it gave the book such a fun element while I was reading and it just made me even more engaged in the story. Described as EXUDING danger just simmering beneath.. AND wire frame glasses? MY GAWDDDDD!! How did Sav KNOW Cash was going to be my GD kryptonite?! Please don’t judge me for this statement, but the treatment of Ariana’s trauma was one the biggest highlights of this book for me. Before you look at me sideways and call my therapist, let me explain. I’m easily entertained, however not always easily impressed by the writing and structure of a novel or the treatment of the characters. This book really impressed me. How the author used dialogue and physical quirks to showcase the character’s struggle was impressive. It allowed me to empathize with Ariana on a level that I wouldn’t have done naturally. Her stranger turns out to be Cash Primrose. A quarter billion dollars & a marriage certificate later, Ariana finds herself expecting the other shoe to drop.When nothing else comes, I shift, clasping the cloth over her nose and mouth. She jolts awake, panic sending her limbs sprawling, but I press my weight on top of her, smothering her for several seconds. Despite the gorgeous cover, this one just didn’t have a similar feel as the others in the Monsters & Muses series. I just read the prologue and I was so hooked. I already knew from the first lines that I would be into this story. This book has such a wonderful start and it was so gripping. I couldn't put this book down and I ended up reading the entire book in one sitting because I was so engaged in the story. It's been way harder for me to really get into books lately, so this was basically a miracle, so thank you book for that.

We love a strong man that can defend his wife, no matter the cost, but this one was a little strange. When you get into a fight and one has a gun, do you expect hint to shoot his driver? NO! I found that to be really far fetched and just weird. The was smut after, which was fine, but I didn’t really think the shooting of Cash’s driver was necessary, or believable at all. It just was so outlandish I got pulled out of the book. During the day: If you have a flexible schedule, you may find it helpful to take breaks during the day to read a book.

The story is based off of Eros and Psyche - which is another favorite Olympian couple. The two main leads revolve two characters we seen previously- Ariana (Elena’s younger sister) and Cash (Lenny’s older brother.) It can be read as a stand alone, although best be read with the previous four books beforehand. I was MINDBLOWN🤯 at the plot twists! I CRIEDat their suffering 🥺. & was definitely wanting to ONE HAND my kindle when it came to the SMUUUUTTTTT 💦
