About this deal

I've gotten great results recently by washing over Retributor Armour with Seraphim Sepia, to give it some depth, then highlight up from there. You do have to be careful to go directly into the recesses though, otherwise it goes really dark and needs another coat of Retributor after the wash. Optional) Paint the armor with Satin Varnish to give it a nice sheen (pure gloss varnish is too shiny)!

Here is also a video where Duncan uses this recipe for a BA Marine. https://youtu.be/g9HzqHVg1uE?t=590I've been using the Scale 75 gold set for my Lizardman team and it works quite nicely. Sadly I can't post pictures but it does produce a pleasing gold colour.

My spray just did that to me, which I find weird, since for the beginning of the priming session, it worked like a charm. In a lot of cases, airbrush paints are the same as their regular equivalents, just thinner. It means that you can use them with a regular brush, but you’d rarely want to because they’ll be much too thin and the coverage will be poor. However, in some situations these are exactly the properties you’re looking for and it can be useful to have an airbrush paint on hand, even if you have no plans to touch an airbrush.Wash the gold with Gloss Reikland Fleshshade. Necro Gold is a somewhat greenish gold, and the red tones in the fleshshade warm up the colors while retaining the darker tone. Do you paint a lot of gold in your miniatures? If there’s a gold metallic paint you prefer, let me know in the comments. I’m always looking for better ways to get the miniature painting job done! TBH, all you need to do is mix a nice and strong yellow gold Vallejo paint with a few splashes of their fleshtone shade ink to mix your own up to get the same rich and dark gold colour. I've made gold, brass, copper, bronze etc. just by mixing a plain old citadel gehenna gold with different inks. If you start painting with the spray, you can’t reliably use the paint pot version to touch-up your models. Bummer. It’s kind of a frustrating experience when you first learn this.
