Being English and growing up in England, the first time I came across haggis was when I was invited to my first Burns Supper at the tender age of 22, now a long time ago! So, what is Burns Night and what’s its connection with haggis?urn:lcp:hamishhairyhaggi0000pate:epub:0b347cf0-9165-4e0c-b5e3-8d8efb2f9ccf Foldoutcount 0 Identifier hamishhairyhaggi0000pate Identifier-ark ark:/13960/t6940044b Invoice 1652 Isbn 1842040812 I bought this book mostly because the protagonist is my namesake and I thought it would be fun to read to my class (all the teachers are known by their 1st names). Unfortunately, the writing is not hugely exciting, although the artwork is quite good which compensates. Reading to the class without showing the pictures however, does not work very well because there is little or no description in the book itself.
