He then reminds her that she's already strong enough in his eyes and that he has a different path envisioned for her. This shows that Rustal seems to view her as more than just a tool despite that being what Julieta wishes to be for him. While mourning the loss of Crank, Ein would meet and befriend Gaelio Bauduin who, despite his noble standing, treated Ein as an equal. Ein appreciated Gaelio's kindness and while he was still dedicated to revenge, he swore to give his all to his new friend. True to his word, Ein was severely injured protecting Gaelio and eventually underwent the Alaya-Vijnana surgery himself to gain an edge against Tekkadan so that he could avenge Crank. Unknown to Ein and Gaelio, they were just pawns in McGillis's plan. Although Gaelio wanted to save Ein to return the favor (as well as help Ein realize his wish to avenge his superiors), Gaelio didn't like the idea of Ein surviving through cybernetics, especially the Alaya-Vijnana system which was discussed between Gaelio, the doctors and McGillis Fareed. This was because of the attitudes on Post Disaster Earth towards people with such prosthetics or implants. But McGillis persuaded him that the Alaya-Vijnana system would be the best way for Ein to achieve vengeance despite Gjallarhorn's doctrine that "Humans must be natural", a value they spread intentionally; fearing the technologies advanced through the Calamity War will be used as a tool against them. Bael was stored in Gjallarhorn's headquarters, Vingolf, until it was awakened by McGillis Fareed. [1] [2] The mobile suit remained unchanged during its long slumber, so its frame structure, as well as its armaments, are as they were when Agnika was the pilot. [1] [2] Armaments [ ] Ein has very similar traits to Jeremiah Gotwald from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, another Sunrise anime series. McGillis Fareed is polite, courteous, and can be considered even charming, but he can be very serious about his work, which makes him seem cold-hearted to those who don't know him personally. He is analytical and thoughtful, and usually more reserved and serious than his friend Gaelio Bauduin, but he will have an occasional cheeky smile and does have a sense of humor. He has a habit of fiddling with his bangs when he thinks. The Gundam Kimaris is the 66th of the 72 Gundam Frames created by Gjallarhorn near the end of the Calamity War to counter the threat of the powerful mobile armors such as Hashmal. It was piloted by Gargin Bauduin, the first head of Bauduin family, who played a key role in ending the war. Thus, the Kimaris was seen as a heroic mobile suit and Gargin Bauduin's stellar achievement made the Bauduin family one of Gjallarhorn's renowned Seven Stars. [3] After the war, the Gundam participated in various ceremonies as a Gjallarhorn symbol and became famous. [3] However, it faded out of people's memory as three centuries passed. In PD 323, Gaelio Bauduin pulled the Kimaris out of the family's treasury to battle the Tekkadan's ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos. This is also the first time that the Kimaris is deployed in combat since the end of the Calamity War. [3] As Vidar, he is less verbal and more taciturn, but his past experience has taught him to be cautious and to assess things calmly before taking action. When prodded on why he chooses to fight, Vidar responded that he fights for revenge. Julieta Juris also notes that he has thrown aside his true identity and taken the name of his mobile suit for the sake of his revenge. Four flash bang launchers are mounted in the Kimaris' head. [6] When the flash bangs are deployed, the suit's sensors are covered by shutters, but this caused their sensitivity to drop by 70% [6]

Due to the rex nails mounted on the fingers, the arms of the Barbatos Lupus Rex can function as powerful weapons that can pierce opponent machines. He then used it to battle McGillis and his ASW-G-01 Gundam Bael, but Isurugi Camice in his V08Re-0526 Helmwige Reincar interfered. The battle resulted in Gaelio killing Isurugi and bisecting the Helmwige Reincar in half. The next time Gaelio sortied in the Gundam Kimaris Vidar was also his known last, and he fought McGillis to a draw that ended after both sides received heavy damage. The Gundam Kimaris Vidar was later placed into storage after Gaelio retired from piloting.
