About this deal

Nnedi Okorofor brings dignity and depth to a most unlikely character: the monster in the trash compactor.

In Star Wars Insider 174, Adam Savage was announced as an author for the book, but his work did not appear in the final product. [6]

Laina", by Wil Wheaton: Taking place from the perspective of Ryland, a watchtower rebel on Yavin 4, during an eventful day in the Galactic Civil War. This was much better put together in my opinion than the previous collections. It had a good variety, good pacing. Overall fun.

The Chosen Zero: Yoda was actually looking forward to training Leia, not Luke, having dismissed him as unfit to be a Jedi long ago. He's quite disgruntled when Obi-Wan tells him it has to be Luke. The 10th story is called Satisfaction, by Kristin Baver. The namesake of the Max Reebo Band is Max Reebo himself. But its' lead singer is an alien named Sy Snootles. In the movie, she sings a song in Jabba's Palace. This song varies depending on which version of the movie you watch. She had one song in the movie's original 1983 release. But it was changed for the 1997 re-release. And it's this 2nd song that appears in subsequent home and streaming releases, as well as TV airings. I won't tell you which song I prefer. And everyone else is entitled to their own opinions on the matter. But I think Sy Snootles herself is a pretty interesting character. Both stories, as well as a few others, are full-circle moments for these characters whom so many have loved over the decades. The Buy-In - Despite how I didn't like the series I loved seeing these characters again, a little prequel. It was funThe Plan- huh... it seemed cut short? I liked it but. I mean I know the end but it felt a little like okay and then? In "Time of Death", Obi-Wan foresees Han's death as he falls from the walkway in Starkiller Base and Leia's grief, as well as Luke's self-imposed exile on Ahch-To. From a Certain Point of View is a collection of 40 stories written by 43 authors. [5] The stories, their authors, and their main characters are as follows: In Legends, R2 sabotages R5-D4’s motivator so that he’ll be sold over the other Droid. Here, R5 wakes up partway through the process and gives him a What the Hell, Hero?, causing R2 to recount his tale. R5 later creates an explosion that makes him look like his motivator blew. Obstructive Bureaucrat: In "The Sith of Datawork", it turns out that the reason the Devastator's gunners didn't fire on the droids' escape pod was because of the paperwork that would ensue — the Imperial Senate protests that such actions, except in special circumstances, count as war crimes — and shooting escape pods with "no life forms" is considered a wasted shot (this is under the belief of countering Rebel propaganda of Imperials being bad shots). However, when they realized that the Death Star plans may have been aboard that pod, Arvira tries to cover the Devastator crew's bases by making the Devastator look like it was having maintenance problems rather than the gunners being incompetent, especially since the Devastator is Vader's ship.

One of the standout stories is definitely "The Veteran," as it provides us with an update on Dexter Jettster. I honestly never thought about how he might feel guilty about unintentionally contributing to the Clone Wars being started. This story touches upon how complicated war is. Dex is cynical, but is also challenged to believe in hope. Verge of Greatness", by Lucasfilm Story Group member Pablo Hidalgo: Taking place from the perspective of Grand Moff Tarkin as the Death Star fires at full capacity at Alderaan. Female Monster Surprise: The dianoga is revealed to be female, unlike in Legends where it wasn't even clear if the dianogas had genders. However, it's also revealed they're hermaphrodites, and can identify as female, male or neuter depending on preference. She's therefore female in the sense of gender identity, not physical sex.

The Max Rebo-starring “Fancy Man” story by Phil Szostak is downright hilarious, and Saladin Ahmed’s tale about the rancor’s caretaker is surprisingly sad. Tara Sim’s Boba Fett story sees the infamous bounty hunter reflect on all the things that happened to him during the War of the Bounty Hunters comic series.
