Walls: Frenchic’s range of chalk wall paint will be the best choice for covering walls, though other paints like the Lazy Range can be used. Alternatively, you can opt for our Original Artisan Range, which is a traditional style chalk paint – ideal for distressing, layering and other creative effects. Pair with a choice of top coats, waxes, metallic paints and decorative powders for furniture that really stands out.

Finishing coat – it is not necessary to apply finishing coat or a varnish over Lazy Range or Al Fresco but should you wish to do so, leave 2 hours after the final coat of Lazy Range before applying. Their Al Fresco paints are hard wearing and dry to a chalky finish. I’m pretty sure they don’t need a top coat, unless you wanted a high gloss appearance. Leave subsequent coats to dry and then you can carefully turn over your piece, so it is the right way up and get going with painting the top in the same way.
