About this deal

Whenever I use a spoon, I feel like I’m going to dribble ganache all over my counter, or on the cake where I don’t want it. Slowly mix in 5 cups of powdered sugar on a low speed. Add 2 Tbsp of heavy cream halfway through to make the frosting easier to mix. My blue drip recipe is made with white chocolate ganache, and is primarily made with heavy cream, white chocolate and blue gel food coloring. If you want your colorful drips to be a super vibrant color, I highly recommend using gel food coloring. If you don’t have any plastic bottles on hand, you can also use a spoon or an offset spatula to carefully push the ganache over the edge of your cakes, creating each drip.

Make this ganache drip recipe ahead of time or save leftovers! Once it’s made, wrap the bowl with plastic wrap or cover the top of the plastic bottle and store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. Other Recipes You Might Like: Certain neurons of the brain express nNOS that is regulated by calcium and calmodulin [ 22]. Although nNOS exists in the brain, spinal cord, adrenal glands, and sympathetic ganglia, the largest source of nNOS in mammals is found within skeletal muscle [ 23]. The physiologic functions of nNOS are varied and include modulation of learning, neurogenesis, and memory [ 24, 25]. There is strong evidence that nNOS also centrally regulates blood pressure [ 26, 27]. Certain neurogenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease are associated with increased nNOS function. Increased nNOS function may lead to neuron cell death from large calcium influx mediated by N-methyl- d-aspartate receptors. Increased nNOS activity may also result in increased NO production with peroxynitrite formation leading to cell injury and mitochondrial dysfunction [ 28].Let the pans cool for 10 minutes, then run a small offset spatula around the perimeter of the pan to separate the cake from the pan. Shorter drips can be great if you’re planning to add decoration around the base of the cake. Longer drips can be fun if you’re going for an over the top or dramatic look. Tips for Adding Drips to a Cake For example, if you want to look fun and exciting, choose colors that match your favorite things. Bright colors are easy to see in low light, so if you’re wearing neon colors at night, you’re sure to be noticed by everyone. Neon-colored clothes also work very well during the day when there’s sufficient lighting outside. 10. Shark Teeth Design Men’s Drip I used a sky blue gel food coloring, but any shade of blue gel food coloring will work great. You can use liquid food coloring if it’s all you have, but the color won’t be as vibrant. A small amount of liquid food coloring can work too, but you won’t be able to get as strong of a color.

This cake uses a simple vanilla cake and buttercream recipe so you can practice and hone in your skills. Through this, you’ll gain confidence and become a better baker. The fun part comes in when you’re decorating. I’ll walk you through all the steps so you can easily replicate this cake at home! Is there anything else you can drip down the sides of a cake? Well, I've done it with jam, icing (the classic water and icing sugar mixture), and warmed up Biscoff spread. Any kind of chocolate spread should work, like Nutella for example. If you're willing to experiment then I'm sure there are more options too! My first tip is to make sure your cake is properly chilled. Once frosted, you should allow it sit in your fridge for at least 20 minutes, or in your freezer for 10 minutes. This makes sure the frosting is cold and firm to the touch. If you try this colored drip recipe, I’d love to hear what you think of it! Please leave a rating, and let me know your thoughts by sharing a comment 🙂 While adding food coloring would cause melted white chocolate to seize (and create the chunkiest mess!!), it won’t cause the white chocolate ganache to seize.
