About this deal

But wait! Just when you thought the guys got to escape Tate's judgement because of their penises, she casts a withering glance over them and their stupid ways. Honestly, she is the most annoying character ever. "The girls had no other interests beside shopping and makeup and the guys here gave me the urge to sanitize my eyeballs after seeing the way they looked at me." For godsake, Ms Precious, go sanitize your eyeballs somewhere we don't have to hear you whining, here you go, use this acid. Welcome to Shh... [Smut, Heroes & HEAs], a reader group dedicated to contemporary Romance & Erotica. But the real question that I kept asking myself was... why? As a general rule, behavior like his is a result of some sort of extreme hurt but for the life of her, Tate couldn't figure out what she did to wrong him and she was hurting deeply both for their lost friendship and for the pain he was causing in her life.

Fallon and Madoc hate each other and they have the verbally sparring down and they extremely sexually attracted to one another. The author writes some truly HOT scenes but sadly their love connection for me wasn’t established for the past and for the rest of the book.

There is definitely a happy ending here. No cliffhanger! But, this is the first of a series so it does leave room to explore their story further after this book so there is no epilogue. But still, I was left completely happy, satisfied and overflowing with warm, fuzzy emotions. The author dealt with this issue very well. The scene was devastating. When Maddox embraced Fallon and she cried, I felt tears in my eyes. Suffice it to say, this book was a little uneven for me. There were parts that I liked and enjoyed but there were parts that I wasn't really crazy about. I won't enumerate all of them because they are massive spoilers but you get my gist. Fallon's dad is part Irish so he must have Guinness on tap on his house. Sure why not add in a racist cliché there too cos all Irish people are such drunks aren't they. Sometimes I wore smiles but didn’t feel them. Sometimes I felt them and didn’t wear them. I didn’t want her to know how much I craved this. I bit my bottom lip.”

He better not ruin this for me,” I said, the force of my voice sounding more forceful than usual. Enjoying one party with my best friend before I left town for a year wasn't asking too much. Have you ever been so angry that hitting things felt good? Or numb to all emotions? The past few years have been like that for me. Traveling between fury and indifference with no stops in between. Some people hate me for it, while others are scared of me. But none of them can hurt me, because I don’t care about anything or anyone.

Madoc is upset so sleeping with a slut (other girls are sluts remember?) Is perfectly acceptable. Hmm.. Just like Jared and Piper in Bully.. Yet neither guy tells the girl they apparently care about so much. This isn't normal behaviour.

A part of me couldn’t help but try to rationalize or at least understand what was going on inside his head because the more I read, the more it was clear that his actions were not just straight up meanness. There was something more behind it. Misguided and wrong perhaps but I could sense something…‘good’ in him maybe? Although at first I wondered if maybe that was just my natural desire to redeem the hero of my book… needless to say, it stirred up a lot of questions and kept me totally hooked and curious to see where the story would go next.Like I said before, the main focus was on the romance, which let me tell you, was just plain shitty. I felt no chemistry between Tate and Jared whatsoever and couldn't even find myself sympathizing much with his past (oh yes, did I not mention? Mr. Mysterious here has his very own secret past to strip away all his faults, how perfectly understandable!) Stay the hell away from anyone like my ex-husband-including liars, cheaters, guys with more looks than substance, and (especially important) bartenders Bullying is a real-life problem
