World Book Day 2023 takes place on the 2nd of March, so if your child’s school is taking part, browse our fun collection of costumes and accessories based on popular book characters. World Book Day is celebrated in schools across the UK, often with lots of book-themed events and fancy dress. We organised the distribution of 24,000 books to all UK prisons in the UK to help families enjoy reading together. Many book characters are pretty ordinary kids, which is one of the reasons why children love them so much. In addition, World Book Day continued to work with our partners to engage children all over the UK with a life-long habit of reading for pleasure.
