Being a natural wood product, each piece of wood may vary from the photo in grain and color. When it comes to using corbelsand in particular placingthem under beams, wall openings and arches etc, itis good to bear in mind that the top of your corbel was traditionally designed to slightly project past the outer edgesto the underside of the opening.

Difference between the top and bottom shelf's width on all models available (due to Victorian style ornamentation) - 11cm. However,allowing your corbel to fall slightly inside the edge of the beam is fine, as long as it does not appear to be lostor too insignificant.
